I have been really enjoying TF lately and I just hit 20, so it's time to buy runes. I know he's not the best champ around, but I like playing him and I don't really plan on playing ranked for awhile (not to mention I can't anyhow). What would you guys suggest? I have been using tier 1 crit chance marks/seals. I am using mp5 glyphs since I already had them for Cho. Also running crit chance quints. Now it's time to get tier 3 stuff and that takes a lot of ip so I would like some suggestions on what to get. I'm thinking that the page would prolly be usable by any phys dps champ, not just TF. I am running him AS/AD.
Also Mogwai you said E first is bad, could you clarify? I find that if I open with E then I can get some really potent harass off with the 4th attack. It just does a lot of damage (massive if it crits) at that level and usually makes them respect my attacks a bit more, especially once I hit 2 and can stack it with W. I am not saying that E first is better, I am only asking you to expound upon your thought a bit so I can learn a little more about my character.

w first for stun. stun > dmg. if you have a team fight which is more important, 60 dmg or a 1 second stun?
arp/dodge/mreist, mp5 isn't necessary. tf is a really good champion, tier 2-3 imo. you dps carry with stun/global ult is never bad.
health quints
I can definitely see that if I don't go mid, a stun would be really good there, but if I do go mid is the stun still better? I doubt there will be any team action before level 2... but I am pretty low atm, so it might be different when people get better. The stun prolly keeps you safer anyway.
Are health quints the only ones that get used? Obviously not everyone uses them, but the vast majority seem to. Plus they are suggested in every champ spotlight.
One more question, about what elo would people actually start last hitting? I realize my own elo takes a hit from playing with my newb friends constantly(but what else am I gonna do, gotta get em hooked) but no one even tries it and if I do I get pushed to the tower every time. Not that that's a bad thing, good for practicing last hits after tower shots, but I mean come on. If I don't start gating around ganking people, the laning goes on for 20 minutes.
yes, it's still better on mid. still safer and still a more reliable form of being able to ping them for extra damage.
health quints are wildly popular in the higher elos. I think people can/will/do get over them eventually, but it takes awhile cause it is pretty nice showing up to every game with an extra 100 health. I've outgrown them for the most part though, I'd rather have my 29 armor pen or extra movespeed at this point.
people take a surprisingly long time to figure out how pushing/pulling a lane can affect them and how to manage last hits according. don't expect it any time soon unless you're winning a ton and inflating your elo :p.

Anyway, I've been checking the tier lists in the meantime (one by tymed and the other by elementalz), and it's somewhat suprising to see mordekaiser at the lower tier (3 or 4). It looks like he has a pretty nice early game (recharging shield + farming nonstop with a pendant) and decent mid/late game as a tank (cleanse to clean out the bad shit, w + e to make people stays away from you and exhaust + ulti to chase).
What do you guys think?
Edit: I'm still a lvl 17 pub newb atm, looking to play ranks at lvl 30 :D
tanks without disables are just generally pretty bad because they can't force the other team to fight them. morde draws all his usefulness from outputting damage, and he's honestly just not that great at it (xin and nasus put out more and have extra utility).
again, I've seen mordes do well, but he's definitely lower tier for having literally no disables as a tank.

he doesn't need to double up on glyphs and seals, but most mana users should. one is helpful because you can spam the hell out of PaC and I mean REALLY spam it.

lolwat first of all, you just tried DotA for the first time... the first game i played of LoL i went 25-1 and thought it was a overly cel-shaded flash game... you can't judge a game by your first match
that being said, having played several hundred games of LoL and thousands of games of DotA, i'm of the opinion that DotA is far superior. am i still playing LoL? yes. i think LoL has the potential to be better, but right now there are so many things that DotA does soooooooo much better. it's hard to believe that these devs COME FROM dota. it's like they forgot half of the things that made the game great, in an attempt to cater to more casual players (which is FINE. i'm all for trying to reach out to a broader audience, and all for games that are "easier" [that is, the reason i came to LoL is because a lot of my friends couldn't hang in the dota world... lol is easier technically]). i'm very happy with LoL's payment plan (that is, i don't have to pay at all, and you're a fucking chump if you pay money for frills ala skins).
sure, there's some UI problems with the WC3 engine, but the core gameplay and hero selection is literally at least 5-10x better.
anyways, rant over. i just hate to see people shitting on dota, the funnest game of all time, especially when they've only given it one match...

I can agree with that. How do you think his masteries are best split? I've opted for 12/0/8 atm, with util masteries being imp. ghost and perseverance to get exp booster.

And for the casual dota crowd that was just doing ap games, blind pick is certainly more fair than the clusterfuck you'd see in those games.

I always ran either 9/21/0 or 0/21/9. I really like making my squishy carries beefy for laning, especially if I have to take mid.

mirror matchups are retarded; dota did not have those, the end of preseason LoL saw every single game with ezrael, pantheon, kat on both teams no switching in the ban/pick mode is retarded; dota captain mode has a much better system, this cannot be argued

After playing pretty bad i mixed things up on WW, changed tactic and item build. Been having success with wiggles lantern and boots of swiftness. Lantern is now my good luck charm
Every match ive played so far with it was 1 sided. The wards didnt even come into play lol. Im gonna use it from now on if the enemy dont have more than 1 tank.

Is anyone else unable to queue up? Whenever I hit normal game > solo queue it goes back to choose game type with a blank screen. Also I can select ranked games for whatever reason, though I can't queue up for them either.
Edit: Just found a thread that says MM is down for 15 mins.
