lol, I'm just ragging on you Uta. It's ok to excel at a champion class (in your case, caster/caster carries). Just don't be a real one trick pony (aka "I only know how to play Kassadin").

Have you tried the new champ? The council is pretty happy. They say Kass = team control Caster. Leblanc = single champion control Caster.

I stole loaching's rune setup, which is, iirc, MS Quints, HP/Level Seals, MRes/level Glyphs, and uhhh, I can't remember the marks, I wanna say they were MPen, but it might have been ArPen. You can just look me up and see my shen page.

For masteries I just run 9/0/21, utility IMBA, lol. Seriously, I love Presence of the Master, Summoner Spells are too good.

oh and I run Ghost + Flash, Ghost + Teleport or Ghost + Exhaust on Shen, or Ghost + Smite if I'm jungling, which, despite neo's exception to it, is OK. He's a little slow in the jungle, but he's really safe in the jungle and counter jungles with a teammate exceptionally well.

I've picked up Shen again recently, I've been running 9/0/21, teleport/ghost, with mpen/ep5plvl/mresplvl/ms runes. I might swap out the energy runes for more mresplvl.

The 9 flat + 15% mpen is nice for Ki Strike/Vorpal/Sunfires.

MS quints are so good on Shen. Missing your dash is seriously not acceptable as Shen. It's like missing your bind as Morgana.

Shen is just soooo slow at jungle that it irritates me. He farms so well in lane with Q and Ki Strike. But like usual, if no one else wants to jungle and your team needs Shen as a tank, jungle Shen is viable. Just not recommended.

Just did 1395 AP with Lux 5xAA + Zhonya, lols. Sux that I've didn't get the Mejais, finished off with 16/8 and game lasted 75 minutes, woot.

well, it's less about needing a tank and more about needing map control and some carry babysitting. if you need a jungle tank, Rammus nubah wahn, but the thing that Shen does so well in the jungle is provide both global presence via ult and smaller scale mobility via dashing over walls. This makes counter warding in your jungle a nightmare because he has more than the standard 4 access points to your jungle and thus can sneak in and ward up your jungle/jack small camps better than most. Incidentally, that small scale mobility is the ENTIRE reason I like Gragas in the jungle. And yea, global teleport ults are really strong.

I tried out Leblanc in one 1v1 practice game against StuffedTurkey's Sion and had the same exact results as Lux (ie. you get roflstomped after a while), so I'm a bit iffy about her supposed burst (didn't feel that high?) and her delayed CC... especially given that she has no real farming power. I actually felt like Anivia is stronger side-lane (if I go that way) and in a solo lane I'd probably default to Malzahar, Morg, or Annie :/ I'm open to being wrong about TheWhite and I've encouraged people to let me know if one starts taking over, but nothing so far.

Nah I've embraced it, the reason I keep losing when I go on 7-0 killing sprees first 20 minutes is that I can't abuse my huge early advantage and turn it into a decisive win. If I learn how to do this I'll start becoming a better player but honestly I can't do the 1v5 thing like I've seen some players do and that's a pretty big disadvantage when it comes to ranking up.

I really like 21 Defense on Shen since most of his damage comes from getting hit triggering his passive. Utility IS nice but it plays more to Vorpal Blade... it works both in the end.

As Mogwai said, Jungleshen is about being supermobile and secure. Fighting in the jungle is a big advantage for him since he can just jump over a wall at almost any point.
Depending how the game goes consider picking up Razors - without champions triggering his passive he is realtivly slow. It´s also nice for pushing which Shen can do with more freedom than most due to his Ultimate.

That's champion dependent. You need a strong AOE ulti to go 1v5 ezpz. Looking at something like Morg or Kennen on caster side or MF on phys.

Your champions that you tend to play can go 7-0 but can't really mass team fight alone. You still have to rally your teammates to make good team decisions and fight well as a team.

Also I've made some pretty huge mistakes today that I feel were uncharacteristic but pretty representative of how hard i'm capable of fucking up, like when I chose to complete ghostblade over saving for IE on Trist to farm better vs Xin (ironic and retarded) or when I kept dying today on stream with udyr because nobody was following me in (no tank team) or this last game where I just straight up couldn't carry vs a huge fed galio and a huge fed cho because I made bloodrazors as my last item instead of getting it early on, knowing that I had a nidalee/leblanc/nasus and that kayle was getting mass silenced/cc'd without cleanse or quicksilver and they were basically ignoring me and just eating the stuns because my team had no sustained dps except kayle who was getting dumped on.

Anyway I'm realistic about it, I'm a slightly better than shitty but much worse than good player.

Ah yes, actually I'm farming Kennen right now to attempt one more shot at digging out of Elo hell. I thought about twitch but that's too team-dependent and I've never been too fond of crawling everywhere as morgana.
