I played lots of dota like 2 years back and there was always a pretty consistent list of the "best" characters and lineups. Wondering if there was something like that for LoL? I don't trust google search

I feel this one really helps your staying power, because you can harass very well with the mana regen+ extra ability power, but still maintain some survival via bonus HP and the one health potion. (as opposed to gettin a meki pendant + 2 health potions) 3) i used to do this every game, but mostly open sapphire crystal if you are not comfortable last hitting creeps with Q. this gives you a few times to miss and still have enough for a chain at level 6 the bonus to this is you get a huge staying power after you get your catalyst, and i recommend this build with a person starting out with annie. Personally i feel like it gimps me too much and i skip catalyst completely, grabbing a few health potions throughout the game to keep my hp high. A typical build order for me these days would be dorans ring boots 1 + mejais (350+1235) on the first trip home, a elixir of brilliance if u can afford it(300) if all is well, and you have a few stacks sorc boots (750) + whatever else u can afford on the second trip home, such as wards(90), blasting wands(860), tomes (435), and health potions, giants belt[i usually prioritize this]( 1110) if you have no stacks and the game feels like its closing down in a bad way-> dorans ring x(however many u can afford), and add another elixir of brilliance then wherever u got a giants belt -> rylais if they are MR stacking blasting wand -> void staff if not -> zhonyas to close out the game other items i rarely get but, banshees if heavy CC/caster, sunfire cape if heavy AD, guardian angel if you're gettin focused. The build i used while i was learning annie was very tanky, Sapphire crystal open-> catalyst-> early RoA sorc boots mejais if you feel u can get many kills/assists otherwise rlyais and again if they are MR stacking blasting wand -> void staff if not -> zhonyas gives you ~ 3k HP and if you take golem before teamfights, it allows you to consistently put out a lot of DPS while having so much HP. Golem buff is critical for this build to work effectively general tips First, take ignite+ flash with Annie A typical trick is to last hit until you have 5 stacks, then qw chain, and either back away, or chase and physical+ land another q spell. Another common one, basically THE thing about annie, is flash tibbers stun. At level 6 this chain does tons of damage with ignite, especially if you time your flash and place your tibbers well. There are many ways to hit someone with flash ulti. 1) the most common, just do it. the range is ridicousl and if their hp is anywhere within 700 without cleanse, theyre dead. 2) if they have more than 800, or packing cleanse, you will have to be tricky. One way is to fake blue pill home so they will try to harass you, then flash ON TOP of them, so your bear does the maximum amount of damage possible, and qw+ ignite, possibly even getting another q or w spell off another way is to look at your minion health points, as they will be last hitting. when you see a creep that is low hp, back off as if it would be safe for them to go farm the creep, then suddenly move forward , flash and tibbers. another way is to fake a gank towards top or bottom, then come around the bushes and flash tibbers( this one usually doesnt work) theres several ways im sure you'll figure them all out, but these are a few also if you cant really kill the guy in middle, red pots.. too much heal etc, you have to go gank side lanes without him calling mia. a good way to do this is to fake blue pill home, as the last creep is being killed at your tower, giving him false information. then go ganking Solomid u will see ashe/other annies/nidalee/ezreal/tristana/tf/teemo generally Vs ashe, good ones will try to use their 100% critical hit on you right away. you can either 1) q, physical attack, and ignite, with the creeps hitting her thats a ton of damage which leads to you being able to zone her out at level 2 , when you have your stun. 2) let her have control until level 2(your qw chain > her single atk crit dmg), or when she uses it to last hit You will need to dodge her volley, by hiding behind your mage creeps. if all works well you will be able to harass her a little then chain her at level 6 for an easy first blood Vs other annies, autoattack the creeps , push the lane, last hit as hard as u can. the faster u hit level 2, the faster u establish dominance, the faster u hit level 6 the faster u win. Its that simple. Annies autodie to your level 6 chain as do you, so whoever hits it first will establish complete control/ get a kill if they are smart Vs nidalee, you will have to constantly harass with your physical, your qw chain, and keep her health as loww as possible, while saving 350 mana when you hit level 6 for a chain. This fairly hard vs a competent nidalee, especially one that does not aggro at all, but she cant really zone you out without gettin destroyed , so just last hit and head over to the side lanes asap when you hit level 6. Vs Tristana , just stay alive till level 6 then smash her. dont do silly things like get out of position before then or she will rip you to pieces. Vs ezreal/teemo/tf /general squishes, you should jump for joy. you can kill them anytime, anyway you want, so easy. i LOVE facing these because that means 100% easy kill or completely zoning out and demoralizing them Also with annie its very good to be map aware ( with any character it is) because you are squishy, and if you see someone out of position, you can just go for the gank immediately. For example, Ganking middle is fairly obvious, but how do you know when side lanes or junglers can be ganked? first is, is your allies lane being pushed, and how hard second , how low are your allies HP bars at the tower, if really low you have to evaluate if the enemy is going to towerdive third, are there any MIA champions? oh a fiddle randomly went AFK, i wonder where he could*cough*golem*cough* be? ETC. I have tons of tips and stuff like this as ive played many games with annie but this should be good enough Oh and also, when you hit level 7 take shield, if you got a kill with tibbers and use it to get golem

Because ignite is a terrible summoner spell unless you are a hero who cannot properly chase and finish AND/OR cannot burst fast enough to counter healing, it's ONLY use is netting FB, and if you get that then good on you but it's so much worse than... Ghost? One shot of Q or W is equal to or better then the entire ignite if you have built Annie correctly, Ghost is both your escape and chaser, Ignite will do bugger all if you are losing the fight, Ghost will allow you to set up ganks more easily, chase fleeing enemies. Etc. Why start with Ruby? Annies who try to save up stuns in teh laning phase before level 6 are not playing Annie correctly, she is an absolutely farming beast who uses her pre-6 money to buy a key item (catalyst, mejais, sorcs) to set up early ganks. Ruby all but guarantees you will not be killed in the laning phase, Ghost/Flash guarantees it. Ruby builds into Catalyst whereas... Doran's Ring! If you need the mana regen from this you are seriously doing something wrong, Annie's laning is godly because of the proc from Q, if you miss the last hits that many times then you need to work on your timing. I have never EVER run out of mana in the laning phase as Annie unless my ally decided to go for kills... The extra AP is pitiful and the health is outdone by Ruby. Not sapphire crystal? It's viable, but again you should be timing your Q to the point that you will not run out of mana. When you hit 6 you will not be casting tibbers more then once before leaving the lane to go gank. Is Mejai's really neccessary? Yes, With this build you will be extremely difficult to kill, Annie is a snowballing champion who is STILL EFFECTIVE if you absolutely fail in building stacks. if you have enough stacks to one shot minion waves with W earlyish in the game it is yours to lose. I MUST TAKE VOID STAFF, 40% MAGIC PEN!!!! Look at your team composition 1. Is there more then 1 dedicated burst AP character? 2. Do you not have two dedicated DPS characters, or 1 hard carry + 1 hybrid? If the answer to these questions is 'Yes' then rethink your team composition You should not have 2 dedicated burst AP characters on your team for this exact reason, Magic Resist will counter you all too easily, and let's be honest, Void staff is great but you are working on a limited item amount here. If I am Annie on a team with only one AP burst caster and my opponents are stacking Magic resist then you can rejoice in knowing that your DPS are going to tear thorugh them. It's not always that simple but the thing is one item spent countering AP is an item not spent countering DPS. (unless it's something like guardian angel, but that's not very strong Mres)... IT's a strange thing but if you want to counter one AP character at the expense of being vulnerable to 2 DPS characters you take that. What I'm saying is : you should not build void staff UNLESS they are stacking mass Magic resist which SHOULD NOT happen against a good team versus 1 AP burster UNLESS you are absolutely wrecking them (like 15-1) or something. It's kind of complicated but that's why I don't include it in my 'vanilla build' it's situational. How to play early game With ruby gem and Ghost Flash you are invincible in the laning phase unless you start getting crazy aggressive. Don't Sit back and farm unless a golden opportunity arises, you want to farm up at least 1585 (boots + mejais) before you go back to shop and start ganking. DO NOT save up stuns in the early phase trying to get kills, it's a waste of time, they will not fall for it because annie laughs when she's ready to stun and gets the swirly thing, no good players are idiotic enough to get near you when you could kill them if they werent ready for it. DO farm continuously, never stop, last hit everything, once you get comfortable with the damage levels you will make so much money

DO farm continuously, never stop, last hit everything, once you get comfortable with the damage levels you will make so much money This is more or less how I play Annie, though I usually go flash/ignite because it consistently does net me more kills, and I'm not usually too worried about fleeing later on anyway since I tank out. I usually get a Guardian Angel after sorc boots / mejai / rod, then a zhonya and a banshee (or void staff if they're AP light). The angel is sick good I use magic pen / mana regen (per level) runes, with HP quints, so I have 14 magic pen, a full set of mana regen runes, and +95 HP. I usually buy a doran's shield first with this specifically to allow me to be more aggressive early in lane. The extra armor / HP makes it where even the ranged DPS heroes generally die before level 6 if they try to harass me. It doesn't matter that it doesn't build into anything because of points you made - farming power + burst killing power. I generally go massively positive with this style of Annie.
