As far as I'm concerned, melee DPS champions fall into one of two categories:
Bruisers: Pretty tanky and with enough damage to deal with glass cannons but not much else. Olaf, Mundo and Garen, basically.
Pure melee DPS: Hard carries and therefore lategame dominators. AD Yi, Tryndamere and Jax.
In the midgame, you'll usually get more mileage from Bruiser-type champions (except Garen because he sucks) because they're tough, but later in the game, if you were to set a Bruiser 1v1 against a hard carry like Jax, they'll just melt.

Ashe, Janna, Soraka, Ezreal, Shen
faggotry at it's best. all you do is solo push with shen and set up poking sieges that literally can't be broken and will slowly fuck you sideways while shen pushes to your inhibitor. cleanse/ghost on everyone but Soraka who takes cleanse/heal.
EDIT: errrrrrrr, to the post above... maybe I'm being nitpicky, but I think calling Trynd, Yi or Jax a hard carry is a bit ridiculous with the connotations "hard carry" has from DotA.

seems to be doin me reaaal nice
If the other team has no jungler, there's a better routine you can try.
Start with Long Sword + Health pot and W skill. (Skill order is WQQEQR then lvl R>Q>E>W)
Start at golem/wolf on your Lizard side (safe from ganks). Then golem/wolf on your Golem side. Then take Golem (use potion and save your Smite). Then head for their Lizard and kill it.
If done right it is now 4minutes and 5 seconds into the game. You should be level 4 with lvl 2 Q, lvl 1 W and E. You have double buffs and using Ghost you can often doublekill the sidelane you are nearest by (their Lizard side). They will only be level 2 or 3 at this point. Alternatively you can gank mid.
And now you can port back, buy Madred's and Boots 1, and start going for your own Lizard/their Golem and gank that sidelane or mid before going Dragon.
Hope I helped!

if you guys were to set up a premade team, whats the ideal champ comp in 5v5 would u guys choose and why? Thats easy. Heim: He can push towers down in like 1 minute and slowly push down middle. Eve: She can just wait there, and when people go to kill heim, she can pop out and own them as theyre stunned in tower range. Tryn: As people start to get owned by Heim's turrets and start running, he can group slow their team so they cant run away, then whack them to death. Yi: If people dont run away from turrets and tryn, then his alpha strike should kill them all as they bunch up. Warwick: He should ult right after the stun from Eve's ravage, making them stay stunned for even longer. Short version: Heim push, ppl come to kill him, eve stuns then in towers, warwick stuns them even longer, yi alpha strikes teammates that try and help the poor guy in stunlock, enemy turns and runs, tryn group slows and owns them all. Dont even try to argue with me on this, my theorycraft is flawless.
how do u even start an engagement with a comp like that? -.-

Ughh I'm so sick of losing games because our team decides to target the tank first. I mean cmon, give me a reason you decided to attack fucking Mordekaiser??? bleh, so many losses for no reason...

Easy answer.
1.) Heimer starts his siege tank like push towards towers by leap frogging turrets, then he camps and nades a tower to death, the rest of the team supports him.
2.) Push down mid, ignore all the side towers, kill inhib.
3.) Win

Flawless strategy. Until Annie throws a bear on your turrets (and the entire team thats camping between them) and Ashe fires a volley.

Good job wasting an ult on a turret Heimer can easily replace or insta heal with R. Not to mention turrets lol at magic damage. Trust me, its unbeatable.

My last 10 games disagree with you. Olaf is an excellent tank, capable of forcing teamfights and taking the brunt of the enemy's burst (and doing so from game start to game end). He's flexible (he can jungle, lane, and gank reasonably well), and he can stack armor while remaining a threat.

Alright had my first game as Annie, I did really good at mid vs Heimer. Only problem I had was that I never had enough to fully kill Heimer, I would only force him to bp, even with ignite. Sadly, bottom started feeding (6-0) and I called them out on it ,jokingly saying, lol lvl 5 to lvl 8. So the Master Yi and Kog'Maw started running down mid feeding. It was pretty funny though since the game was over either way. They just messed up their scores.
Annie is one of those champions where I have a blast laning ,blowing up stuff with fireballs, but when it comes to team fights I just faceroll, and I don't like that.

I just started playing Warwick and damn is he easy. With Zilean I had to constantly juggle spells at 300 APM in order to kill someone or save my own ass. With Warwick I just attack someone and watch. Last game, I decided to run into the enemy base to their nexus when they had 4 champions right there, I just attacked one, and managed to kill him before he 4 champions and the 2 towers killed me.

New energy regen runes coming up.
I think my kennen will be using a full set.

I can see how this would work, but with 1 health potion I find myself dying if I do this. I think i'd need to be higher than lvl 12.

Heimer nerf is ridiculous. He's a pushing champion and with Grenades not doing damage to towers and his turrets only doing 1/, his pushing power is nullified. What do they want him to be, an ap carry?
