Ugh. Sorry, I was thinking of STALKER. Stalker is not imba. Seeker is pretty rough, I guess I haven't come across many seekers that are that good just yet, but when bringing new people into the game, I'll tag team up against bots to let them learn the BLs...and even the medium seeker bot is tough to beat.
We basically agree on the Nomad however, you just said it better than I did.
I'm still only about a week and a half old in the game, so I'm still figuring out exactly who does what and such, so that could be part of my problem with VG.
One thing that disappointed me greatly, was that female inhibitor still makes the manly HWAH HWAH noise when using Sol or Ohm bolt.

Look at the female engi and do some emotes.. Along with male psychopomp... those are fun =.=

Hahahaha, I didn't even think of the emotes. Oh man.
The female inhib looks the sex, though. I guess having her with such a manly voice was a bit of a shocker. Here I expected some lady to be going HAH but nope...same old HWUH HWUH.
I will definately try emotes with the female engi + Male Pyscho at home hahaha.

Stalker will need a nerf once the Nomad nerf hits. She can shut a person down with nerve poison, then switch targets and m2, space, m1, ult and continue space-m1'ing for 30 dmg a hit. If you try to cc her, she jumps over your shit or takes it off with cloak and stuns you. Takes way too much effort to keep her under control when she gets her ult right now. She's already gaining a lot of popularity, and will become legit FOTM after next patch when Nomad/Seeker balance comes in.

Is there a TeamLiquid clan for the community? We could help the strong gamers we find in this community pick up the game and set up some teams for ladder.

Yes there is, anyone that wants to get invited can just join the teamliquid channel in-game and I will invite them to the clan from there.

I'm leading my multi-gaming clan of my own in BLC, but feel free to add Torenhire to friends or w/e if you want a mid/low level sparring partner.

New healer looks ridiculous, hopefully they'll balance him well despite what I read about his abilities.

lol no cast times or anything just descriptions of abilities. I'm sure it will be okay.
EDIT: But his (their?) looks are OP

Is there a more or less dedicated healbot class/build? This may sound weird, I always enjoyed playing support/healer in MMOs, mostly because most PUG healers are terribad and I would rage hard when they got the group wiped, but also because everyone wants you in a party, and most importantly it's just plain fun for me.

not really, also there is a soft healing cap. Each character also has a self heal (think 'eating' in wow). Most classes also have some forms of cc and/or damage reduction. Try it out - free (although you'll have to play different characters each week until you are able to buy your own - in game gold or cash).

I absolutely love the artwork on the new bloodline, coolest thing ever! His abilities might sound OP, but if they were to write a description about Psychopomp in the same way without any numbers, she would probably sound OP to us.
Devs also posted a May developer update! Patch will be out the 25th with Replays, some Seeker reworks and other balance changes, The Grimrog, and a new season!

Closest to that would be Herald or Alchemist. They both play relatively defensive for BLC, however both can take care of themselves. They're both very unforgiving though if you miss or spam your skills, and both require your team to be at least somewhat coordinated to work properly. Alch is easier to grasp - she has a huge m2 heal, a dispel, a shield and decent crowd control. Alch in 3v3 mostly plays behind the team to provide support, although is very beastly 1v1. Astro/BP/Psycho play a lot more aggressive than the 2 healers above, and function best playing close to their damage.
Alchemist is getting nerfed next patch though, but that should just bring her down to the level of the other healers - she overshadows everyone else at the moment.

I would say there is no healbot. That said, pomp has a better capacity to carry a team with artillery, fantastic CC, and really good outs so if that's something you're concerned about I'd roll him as main with alch a close second. The Podcast "The Bloodline" Episode 17 is a good resource discussing the role of healers in BLC.

Pomp is easier to use than Alch at low levels, but overall Alch is much better. The poison, the sleep, the knockback, the shield... I think she brings more to a team than Pomp (in most cases).
Also, I've recently started dedicating time to being good with Harb. Carrying teams around my 1200 (lol I know) ladder rating with 10-14 CVPS consistently, so hopefully I can stop sitting at low levels It was a bitch trying to carry people as Pomp (Fun though when I could finish a round with most damage and protection and control <3 )

Which is why I said the closest thing to it. Alch and Herald play a lot more passive than Astro/Psycho/BP. That said, don't play Alch or Herald in Solo unless you're really good with them. The other team will tunnel you forever and your SoloQ buddies will just watch you die. With some coordination though, Alchemist is the best healer at the moment. (Which is why she's getting nerfed.)
The aggressive healers are much easier to play IMO, because they have better outs and don't get punished as easily for messing up.

^^ 100% truth right there. It's really amazing what tip top players can do with just the alch's movespeed. Her survivability comes - oddly enough - from an extra ability where an hard out might otherwise exist.

The developers recently started an invite a friend program that gives new players a little extra starting coins (for buying heroes and stuff). You get an extra 5000 bloodcoins if you are invited and via achievements and so on you earn bloodcoins really fast.
Anyway, it's a great game, and if you want to try it out, here is my "invite a friend" link that gives you (and ofc me ) some bonus stuff.

Man I am hoping the inhibitor tweaks aren't huge, I like playing him.
On the flip side hopefully astro is getting some more survivability to put him on tier with some of the other healers, and since I main astro that would be quite welcome.
