I think you often see the same people when you play at a certain time but across days you don't see the same people much ;p

yea the playerbase is still on the smaller side, buts it cool to see names i remember in SMM
as for glutton/inhib... i play alc, and ill just put it this way. any team i see glutton on, regardless of who else is on it, i tell my team the strat of "ignore glutton, ill keep him cc'd" and we usually win 3-0 or 3-1
but yea like it was said... if i miss a sleep or something, im usually roflstomped lol

Yeah in my case I struggle more with Thorn than Glutton as Psych because Thorn has that stupid imba right-click that's a bit rough to dodge while spamming heals on your idiot spearman cross-screen. Glutton is just like SPACE SCREAM LOL. He stomps bad players though because they're more likely to mess up cast timings/spacings/miss so you'll get the madness stack and just whomp them.
Edit: Like, joking and trash-talking aside, I feel like the #1 strength of Glutton is his longetivity. Played well, it's really tough to play a war of attrition with Glutton. To that end I actually feel he's MUCH stronger in 3v3, where he'll attract attention, but there's enough chaos that it's difficult to focus fire him, and it's also easier for him to slink off to the side for 2 seconds to Eat. He's a low-maintenance DPS tank that can really wreak havoc the longer the game goes, as more people get lower and lower on HP while he can maintain a relatively high chunk of HP. And eventually someone will screw up and he'll get his damage in, or he'll land a sick combo and do a lot. That sort of thing.
I just think in 2v2 melee tanks are rough to play without a good chunk of utility, and Glutton is the worst of the tanks in that regard. It's why you see Guard a lot in 2v2, but not as predominantly in 3v3 -she has a great ranged skill, a dash, a long AoE incapaciate, and a multi-person heal + movement buff.

haha, j/k
yea i use guardian in my 2v2 team of guard/alc.. out of the melee tanks, i think guard fits best in 2v2. when you pair with alc, you can punsih them for being close together (lolcleaves) or for being too spread (alc cc's) so it works decently well.
|
lol, I think it was when I was 2v2ing with Chance, but in a game 5 I let down my guard, messed up, and Guardian took me down from 100 to 10% hp in like 4 seconds I was like SJDFAUGHAYGHAGHA

yea the offensive charge>cleave>m1 spam does a ton of damage in a hurry if your ont paying attention/getting hit in da back
|
In my case it was Lock -> RMB -> Throw -> Charge -> LMB, getting caught in the lock was bad, then I screamed off LMB, missed follow-up swap, R'd, but he landed a clutch toss as soon as I popped, bought him time for Charge, then LMB spam while on CD, but the time I got my spell back I was mostly dead, it was pretty rough.

Playing astronomer currently, I feel that he dominates the most in 2v2. The Moon Stone to disable one player and good burst makes him very effective.
In 3's I think Alchemist and Herald is a better choice. Herald has a lot better healing potential and her Space teleport has 0 cast time so its easy to dodge spells with it. She has low damage output though, but it normally isn't needed. Alchemist i feel is inferior to herald when it comes to healing but does a better job of dealing damage while having the same strength in CC.
Among the tanks I feel that Inhibitor is very strong in 3's. He can tank, heal and deal a ton of damage while at the same time having very nice interrupts and spell blinds.
Glutton, I feel, is easy to learn but hard to master. Few people play defensive glutton, in which I think his true strength lies. I play with a grade 19 Glutton when I played Astro. He stayed close to me at all times. Any time there was someone jumping on me he would pull them to him instead. Usually they had no outs left and were eaten alive.
I'm in the TL channel at EU time, feel free to add me: DrKeso Astro/Spearmaster/Herald

Been trying to get more into this game.. I would say I am better then an average noob. But the game seems more fun when playing with people you know.
I usually chill in the TL channel as Noxie.. feel free to hit me up (= Would love to learn more advanced stuff as well!

well guys short question. i upgraded my account to champions edition for 40 bucks (champion edition + upgrade), which i dont regret so far at all. however, i now saw something that worries me a bit. when you read the bottom of this page where you order your account , it says
"The total payment due for this offer is 29.99. This includes 60 days of gametime. "
this sounds a little bit like the champion account would expire after i played an amount of 60 days of gametime; however, i never read anything like that anywhere. so, does it really mean this (which would piss me off pretty hard actually), or does funcom only want to say that they guess the amount of time you'll enjoy playing blc to be an average of 60 days of gametime?

i have not heard anything of the sort that it was a temporary thing
but ask on their official forums if you have any doubts, youll get a response

I think at one point they had a subscription plan (VIP thing) but they scrapped it like a few weeks before release, probably haven't fixed the description there. As Saet said, you can confirm on the official forum (and maybe get them to fix that hahah) but I'm 99% sure that's a deletion error
On a different note, my aim is so bad that when other teams don't go after me I start losing. Fuuu, WTB my free easy E on the Thorn.

Any ingame channel for teamlequidians?
|
TeamLiquid
Edit: One day I'll figure out how to 1v1 Ranid/Astro.
|
Is there any chance we could get a TeamLiquid clan for the game? I would really like to play with other TL members.
I'm RisingPhoenix in the game.

Looks pretty good. Makes me want to play stalker more.

A bit surprised they're not nerfing Pomp's ult but that's all good. Also surprised at the Seeker nerf, and I also wonder if the Vanguard changes actually make him better.
|
Well Seeker is more of an adjustment than a nerf. Made him more mobile, so they have to compensate on his other abilities or he'd be imba.
Also, the new Guardian spacebar is making her more of a "guardian" :D

Not sure if 5 more movement speed covers for the loss in range, given that movement speed (base, anyways) feels rather overrated in the face of dashes and jumps >_o
