I can understand this criticism to remakes like Crystal and Platinum or that it doesn't change enough, but saying it hasn't changed at all since R/B is just silly. It hasn't drastically changed it's formula, it's still a turn based strategy but a game doesn't need to break what it is in order for it to be a sequel. There really isn't that much different from SC1 to SC2 really just some new units and polish. It's still basically the same game you still collect minerals/gas and make units/buildings then try to kill your opponent. | ||

Actually there are HUGE differences between SC1 and SC2 and we're not just talking about the major leap in graphics (which Pokemon sorely lacks). The single player mode has been completely revamped and the multiplayer mode plays quite differently from the original not just with different units, but the different macro and micro mechanics involved. You can't compare that to the differences between the various versions of Pokemon which are minor at best. We're essentially talking minor graphical updates, new Pokemon (a lot of which recycle the same moves), and a couple frills in terms of optional stuff to do such as Beauty Contest and such. The core gameplay is exactly the same across the board with the same menus, same options, same status effects, same elements, etc. I will admit that the simplicity is part of what makes Pokemon what it is, but still... You would think that they could have done a little better (or a lot better) over all the years of development. But then again, I suppose I can't complain THAT much since there are plenty of other series that simply refuse to move beyond their tried and true format (*cough cough FIRE EMBLEM *cough cough)... =/ | ||

This is more like trying to compare SC1 to SC9 and them being relatively the same. I have been waiting forever for a Pokemon game where the fighting was in real time.... STILL HAS YET TO HAPPEN. | ||

Nintendo could make BANK off a Pokemon MMO, but with the way Nintendo handles their online functionality, I doubt we'll see that within the next 5 years. | ||

Also, i think the new legendaries look kinda dumb the black one looks alright but the white one is just stupid | ||
