However other random people can join our lobbies yea they are apparently fixing that from what i heard. been fucking around with the wesker assist. i think u could theoretically setup "unblockables" with a an overhead timed with his samurai edge assist like mag's flight mode cancel S. not exactly sure if that's the case. most of the ppl don't block the oevrhead so lol. overall i'm liking mag/dante/wesker over my original mag/dante ammy. so many dirt easy relaunches with wesker assist OTG into hypergrav.
Doesn't have to do with setting it up but the fact that if you drop it you can be fucked, or if you get hit first you can be fucked, DOES play a part in it

Man, I used to be bad as fuck until I switched to Haggar. 15 game winning spree LOLOLOL also x-factor is absolutely ridiculous. the best part is when you x-factor with sentinel and they try to run away like sentinel isnt a fucking ridiculous projectile character =[ free win every game =[
how do aerial exchanges work? ppl always do that on me, takes forever to watch them bring out all their characters in the air combo zzz. ARe these good? :<
ALSO hot tip to the other noobs: if you want to play ranked online games don't waste your waste playing "Ranked games" or whatever. Join a training mode and enable the option that lets others challenge you and just pick a char u wana practice a few combos for a few seconds until someone joins your game. Much faster/better than the shitty capcom search

yes they are quite good. You press forward, Up or Down and Special move in air to call in your next character. You can counter it too, you must press the same direction your opponent presses and also hit Special move.
Whats great about it, is you can switch in a character, do a Hyper Combo, into a Delayed Hyper Combo (DHC) to switch back the original character. It's a decent way to switch characters back and forth but it isn't safe because it can be countered but its quite random as you basically have to guess the direction to press.
For example I'll do something like, air combo, switch character, air combo, special, special and my 1st character is back out again.

Anyone in the south east asian region want to play some games? XBL:moomoomash

Pretty good job there Trumpet,. you did a good jbo burning Sent's xfactor away but I'm surprised you didn't just go for an ice storm to burn a bit of time, since even with flying, running away isn't really an option against sentinel on ground, even there he's too fast lol

I haven't really gotten my hands on Marvel-3 yet (supposed to this week at my friend's house, but there's a ps3 issue.) I know there are malls here with pirated MvC3s for the 360 then slap them into makeshift arcades. I don't really mind that, I want to get some practice before playing first.
But... goddamnit, I just heard that they put damage to minimum AGAIN just like they did all MvC2 arcades.
Stupid arcades all over the country don't want to keep the default settings. That's why the MvC2 scene here looks a lot different than in the US, and I'm pretty sure, unless things change, its going to be the same for MvC3 =(

FakeSteve, it'd be a pleasure to play MvC3 with you. I'll add you when I have a chance

Is it me or are aerial combo exchanges just bad? You only have 3 directions to choose (left and right count as 1 since it doesn't matter which direction you use), if you go down you get 1 hyper meter, go horizontal get half, and going up gives nothing.
So generally you'll want to go down, but that's what most people counter with. So if you go up or horizontal the damage isn't as great as if you just went for a bigger combo.
I see the advantages of it, but there seems to be better alternatives...generally.

lol trumpet i c wut u meant about the guy in GF
if i had a tip i'd just say be careful of using naked HS's. you only got tagged once by it during start-up so u probably know whats up anyway.

they have their uses. can be a free/safe/meter-less tag-in or help gain you an extra bar. throw it in occasionally to catch ppl sleeping. i forget what horizontal aerial exchange gives (if anything).

wow. i guess storm-sent DHC and stuff like AHVB'sx3 aren't autokill in the arcades at the islands? i do recall u mentioning that IM belongs with the 4 gods in your arcades. i've gotten used to the game's overall damage and now take back my earlier rant to switch tournament to LOW damage settings (1 below MEDIUM with LOWEST b4 that). only problem i still and prolly will forever have is that x-factor is literally one of the dumbest fighting game mechanic ever. and also assist take too much damage imo.

whoopsie my bad. got myself confused with all the quoting

ahh I really want to get this game already, but i'm short on cash ;(

lol 2537, low damage marvel 3 might actually not be so bad. I mean, it's random as hell that yall always tone down damage, but lots of people have been saying the damage is too high in this game and ought to be lower. Yipes even suggested it might be good in one of those training mode videos.
How is an aerial exchange bad? At worst, you get a meterless, completely safe way to switch into your next character. I go for down early on for greed (most people aren't countering yet) and up when I actually need the switch. The metagame might change eventually, but no need to out think yourself in week 1.
I see a lot of the stuff I did wrong yall are saying in hindsight. Could've died for those raw hails, doin typhoons before he committed to any moves on the other side, and I definitely need some smarter ways of responding to xfactor. Trying to beam to punish dante's whiffs got me shot at least twice lol. Learning lesson for sure. I usually try to be safe about the raw hails, waiting to see if they hit a button or jump, something like that where they won't be able to hit me. But by the end there in the last match or two I was just getting desperate to end it before something else randomly hit me and killed me. Forcing yourself to look at your own mistakes is hard >.<
I'm actually 100% comfortable blocking sent on the ground, just try to avoid it during xfactor because simple cr.h does so much chip. He doesn't have a fast overhead, and his tick throws are dead obvious. Air he's scarier, every button you press in the air could be your death, and storm's air normals seem to suck now.
