Can anyone suggest a good joystick for this game? What would be the best standard joystick and are there any new ones coming out that I should wait for?

if you wanna just go out and buy one and you don't care what it costs & just want the best stick with no hassle, get a madcatz TE

there are other sticks that are good & cost less, but they're harder to find, or have to be ordered in parts. the TE is the highest quality stick around.

Yep. TE's the best stick and any quality (Japanese style) stick will have Sanwa or Seimitsu parts, so there's no sense in waiting for any new ones to come out as they're going to have the same exact parts. Plus, if you decide to get into stick modding later on, the Mad Catz sticks are the most easily mod-friendly ones with quick disconnects on the stick/buttons and common ground PCBs.

However, I'm a little surprised FakeSteve didn't try to plug the upcoming Razer sticks. :p

As far as if you should wait, I can almost 100% guarantee that if you wait 2-3 weeks until the Final Round tournament in March, they'll probably have some type of discount running, they usually do stuff like that. Generally brings the price down to $100 or less for a brand new TE stick, which is a fantastic deal. So I guess that just depends on whether the wait is worth $30-50 depending on where you planned to get it.

Trying to learn Team America (CapA, IM, Haggar) right now for kicks, why the hell does Captain America get weaker when you corner someone. Talk about a marketing flop, that guy should be rigged since he's got a movie coming soon :< Bastards.

Also, wtf modok nonstop overheads. Played against someone using him for the first time and got slammed by that nonsense lol.

Next week is GVN Winter Brawl, I'm not sure if Madcatz is sponsoring them but if they are there'll probably be a discount code, if not there'll be one the next major event madcatz will sponsor, so just hold off a week or two for that haha

If you don't care to save like 20-25 bucks then just go and buy one now

I wish I could go. My friend who I've been playing games competitively for years with is going, he's been playing SSF4 hardcore since like august or so, he's gotten pretty good but his confidence keeps getting shaken when he plays online.

I'll be watching the tournament for sure, if only I had transportation and a place to stay then I'd go lol.

Having issues joining my friends lobbies or having them join my lobby, we all keep getting "Failed to join game session" anyone know what's up? This is on PSN.

However other random people can join our lobbies

lol. At least you have to execute to 100% with an infinite. Why would you complain about them in a game where almost every character has easymode 100% combos?

hmm that inf is annoying to do. I'm holding uf and just doing a hcb to get tatsu but generally I either do it to early and it gets a ground tatsu or I do it to late and dont get the first hit =(

a character's life has nothing to do with how to setup infinite and whatnot. and most characters die pretty easily in this game anyway. and from what i see from that video it looks like u have to catch them in a standing state ( i could be wrong) aka. storm's inf. on sent mvc2 etc. when i'm not lazy or feel like using akuma ill hit the lab on that
also there's a difference between having an infinite (mvc2 IM for example) which is deemed "fair" and having a "broken" infinite (T5.0 stv's 3~11 who was already fucked up without it anyway).

yea they are apparently fixing that from what i heard.

been fucking around with the wesker assist. i think u could theoretically setup "unblockables" with a an overhead timed with his samurai edge assist like mag's flight mode cancel S. not exactly sure if that's the case. most of the ppl don't block the oevrhead so lol. overall i'm liking mag/dante/wesker over my original mag/dante ammy. so many dirt easy relaunches with wesker assist OTG into hypergrav.
