I don't think I can possibly disagree with you more. Sanchez is a titan. I vastly prefer him (+ drunk ray ramos) to the new ultradavid/jchensor setup. Aris is a boss too.
The legendary sanchez + ramos ffa commentary is why I play Captain America in this game :>
FINAL JUSTICE. i only play capt. america cuz 1.) that sanchez video 2.) his movie is coming out and 3.) for the DUN NAH DUNA DUNA DUN DUN DUNANA music
Uh, I feel like this is a really dumb question but how important is having an arcade stick? In all of the events and matches i've seen, every seems to play with one of those. I suck too much at fighting games for it to make a difference but if I wanted to get better, how far could I go with a regular xbox360 controller?
as someone that's not very good at the game, after getting the stick it's much easier to do combos, and overall it makes the game a lot of enjoyable with a stick
i love my madcatz te stick, and im pretty sure you can get one for 20% (might be ps3 only), or 10% off with the crosscounter discount for all sticks.
heh floe in GF after 3-2'ing wong in WF with the trish/meter assist/phoenix team
why does the game further reward ppl for getting beat up with meter. i still don't understand why the game doesn't let u fight without meter for getting your ass handed to u like mvc2 :p NVM I'M A DUMBASS. shit i've been off games other than 3s for awhile. this is sad
What do you mean? If you get ROM infinite'd or hit with iron man's infinite you'll end up with more meter than your opponent (maybe not more, but you end up with a lot)
Seem'd obvious, everyone was saying it. Wong was fucking around cuz he knows he'll have the #1 spot at evo for marvel, since he goes to every tournament and places top 2 in them all, so he might as well help floe and noel get more evo points.

When doesn't Wong fuck around? Everyone knows he's the best at everything he does I usually only watch fighting streams when he's in them just because of the sheer domination
Unrelated note: Is this the Zlasher I know from HoN? If so it's Gale :D
Is there usually this much shady BS in fighting tournaments? First the Bo3 that becomes a Bo5, then Justin gets to change his SSF4 bracket, and finally he throws a game for his friend.
I enjoy watching the games but all the bad sportsmanship and shinanigans really ruins it for me.

it's more poor communication / tournament organization
the organizers changed Justin's SSF4 bracket with a coin flip due to whatever reason. Justin had nothing do with it.

I wouldn't call it shady..its a community run tournament, people just help out their friends sometimes, and justin wong doesn't really care about the prize money at non-major tournaments.
The BO3 to BO5, its always known that losers finals have the same number of sets as winners finals, which was a BO5, it was written in the rules, all that happened was before the match started the guys said "this is bo3 right?" and they were just like yea yea it is, but the tournament organizer wasn't in that conversation to correct them.
Also, it wasn't the ssf4 finals he threw the games, it was in MvC3, after losing to a bullshit phoenix from his friend, he gets into losers finals where he's again, against another one of his friends, so he might as well just help them get a higher seed for evo since the difference in 2nd and 3rd place prize money is nothing.

Justin doesn't wanna play the guy he got matched against so they eventually flip a coin between the other two players.
What you're referencing there is the same thing htat happens at a lot of tournaments. People pay out of pocket to travel cross country a lot of the times to play in a tournament, its just a respect thing that the bracket creator tries to set people apart so that they don't face each other early on. If someones paying 300 bucks to fly there, they don't want to face someone they play 3 times a week when there are other people. So Justin just wanted to see if they could fix it the other way.

And I think the commentators said before the fight that the teams had agreed to play Bo3 because the WB finals was like 40 min long.

But this wasn't the start of the tournament, there were only 4 ppl left in the WB at this point. Would someone not called Justin Wong really be allowed to change opponent? Edit: And he didn't just want to avoid his friend, he also asked to avoid Wolfkrone. They didn't allow that but the fact that he asked is pretty damning, he clearly wanted the weaker opponent.
And I still think throwing a semifinal is BS, especially when there's seeding on the line.
Just started playing online. Wow it is really different, the lag is atrocious! I can barely do my Dante BnB, and Iron Man is even harder to use now. At least Wesker is still easy mode lol, and right now I'm just stomping noobs on my way up.
I only lose to aerial team combos I can't do the counter for some reason (I spam A and whirl my xbox 360 stick), it's really frustrating.
Any tips for aerial team counters? And for dealing with the lag?

Isn't it S + direction for the aerial counter?
edit: nvm, you're referring to an xbox 360 controller where the A button is set to be the launcher? Then yeah, I don't know why that wouldn't work.

eh, if there were other people in it that would have been affected by him throwing a game I would have a bigger problem with it, but since it was two of his friends I don't think it's as big of a deal. THe other ones are mad shady
Anyone see the G4TV thing with Clockwork and Mike Ross that came out today? East coast saying that their top 5 could body West Coasts top 5 without Justin for FREE, claiming that they've levelled up since Final Round
I think thats honestly the most retarded statement ever lol, East Coast thinks that they've gotten better and West Coast hasn't or something? Right now East's top 5 is probably Chris G, Remix, Jago, and dare I say it, Nerdjosh and Noel Brown lol. MAYBE Ryry, but nobodies seen him play since Final Round either.
That doesn't hold a lick to Combofiend Marn Floe Clockwork (although he's all gimmicks) ClakeyD Viscant, even Tatsu.
2.5 more months til Evo where East Coast will pretty fairly get stomped on by Socal in Marvel 3.
In my opinion, east coast is hella free. Marn has been levelling his game up and he could body most of them beforehand. So I highly doubt they stand a chance even dropping Marn, much less Marn + Viscant, Combofiend, Floe and Genghis. I would definitely like to watch them get wrecked though.

I thought it was S+direction they are attacking with or something? Not just S+any direction.
Or am I doing it wrong and it is actually S+any direction?
