I do the same thing. I don't expect to get a kill via frost arrow pre-level 6. So i'd rather have that extra 150-180 gold from creeps than mana draining frosts. PB/volley/PB/volley/PB/arrow. who needs frost shot when you have red buff?[/QUOTE] How do you get 150-180 extra gold befor lvl 6 that are equal to around 60-80 Creeps. I mean you can farm well with Ashe but not that much in this short amount of time. I always felt like when i get bounty so early i tend to miss the extra slow from frost arrow around lvl 10 | ||

He excels at "tanking" during the early game and plateaus very quickly in this regard. Our currently preferred champs: Me: Ryze, Soraka Bro: Ashe Friend: Anything But I think we're all willing to play any champ. Oh and if it's a champ that has different viable builds, but only one of those builds makes sense for synergy with the other champs, mention that please =] PS: I had a new best game w/ Ryze! 25-5-14. Full soulstealer + golem + frozen heart + ryze's passive = constantly casting spells. Cooldowns cease to exist haha. And of course I have the mana to do it too. I've had some fun success countering people's magic resist with the magic penetration items. There'll be one fight where I take some free shots at the tank and it barely scratches him. Then I get more magic pen and next time he runs out, he loses half his health and can't tank anymore. | ||

Nony, you should probably get advice from a better player, but I think singed is a great laning partner. If you work together the glue stick/fling can be fun for combos, and he is rather tanky, which is a good compliment to ryze who happens to die really easy. I am sure there are better champs out there for that purpose, but I think he is one of the most fun characters to use. | ||

So, probably Soraka, Ezreal, and either Taric, Alistair, or Shen. If you don' t mind switching champs, I think Janna is currently better than Soraka. Post-patch, Ez is getting nerfed, so he could be switched out. The point is that a boatload of heals + a tank is a very good start. You're basically missing a ranged DPS, and those are easy to find usually. Even if you draw crappy teammates (gangplank and Tryndamere, hooray!) you'll still have a shot. | ||

I used to go PB/Volley all the time but I have been skipping PB for a while now. I just find being able to harass the other person is a much bigger bonus than the < 200 gold. Even without getting a kill, I can usually shut down their mid fairly easily unless they are playing Ashe also or a good red elixir Panth. If they have to back once before 6, they will have lost a lot of gold from missed creeps (much more than you'd gain from PB). As well, if they ever get a bit careless it's a free kill. Plus, you get the option of an easier gank at the 2v2 lanes and it also may save your ass when you're being chased early on. And don't say 'you can get red buff instead' because everyone knows buffs aren't always available and you probably won't get it before level 6. Frost harass > PB imo. | ||

You normally don't want to gank with ashe until she gets arrow because she's so frail and has no escape skills minus the summoner ones. And you can easily take red buff at before or after your initial gank when you turn 6. As for harassing the person you're in the lane against. Just conserve mana while you constantly harass with ashe's 600 range auto attack. Once you hit level 7 and have 210 mana, arrow + volley + hit. | ||

The point of a tank is to be in front, protect your teammates, and initiate. Morde just fails at protecting melee DPS, in my experience. Getting 2 pugs all the time must suck. | ||

I tend to jungle with Morde, starting with Wraith camp and working around the small camps, sometimes encroaching over to the other team's jungle at times (mostly their Wraith camp as well). Do Lizard at level 5, gank at 6. Max E first, then W. No points into Q until E and W are done. Like when you play Warwick, you have to pay attention to who has Cleanse on the loading screen. At best, you hit a champion with your ulti and Ignite that doesn't have Cleanse or has used Cleanse against a CC from someone else on your team. At worst, you Ignite early, forcing them to use their Cleanse, then ulti right after. Never Ignite/Ulti a champion that has Cleanse without knowing that it's on cooldown. That's just wasting your kill potential. Item build is Mallet, Tabi/Merc, Phantom Dancer, FoN/GA. This enables Morde to chase and slow a single target for a long time. In 1v1 situations, the enemy won't be able to run away. With PD and FoN, Morde will move faster than most champions without ghost. Tabi, PD and dodge runes allows for a lot of dodging potential. Mallet and Lizard means a ton of slow. Stacking Sunfires is another possible build, works well in tandem with Morde's W and definitely helps with jungling as well. @ NonY For a Ryze/Ashe/xxx team, I'd probably recommend a tanky melee DPS. Jax or Garen. Either is a good option since they have great burst and can stun/silence a target, preventing the enemy from escaping after an Ashe arrow or Ryze prison. @ Ashe users Volley > Frost Arrow > Plentiful Bounty Chances of you getting Lizard buff consistently (especially in a pug game) is rather low. As DPS carry, you need some sort of soft CC to help catch champions. Volley + Frost toggle is great for kiting, probably the best in the game. You should be able to farm well, even without PB. And get out of using PB since Riot is replacing that skill in a patch from now. | ||

It was Me (gragas) yi, ashe, heim, nidalee against Janna, Pantheon, Zilean, TF, Fiddle Their Janna/Pantheon lane straight up owned early game. Pushed us mid, and got us to last towers. But I told my team to turtle, and we turtled our way back to a comeback win! Good thing their pantheon fucked up late game, and got like brutalizer, boots, and 4 bloodthirsters. No HP ftw! He went up like 24 kills/12 deaths/? assists and still lost haha. | ||

I just wanted to ask the community whether or not i should waste my points on him if he just gets rolled at higher levels (im only lvl 9). Can a current or former high level Ryze player lend me some advice? | ||
