wait is this an MMO now or something? what is end-game? to me, end-game means killing bosses that are hard to kill and need a group of people to kill, and they drop a special set or whatever. what the shit is end-game in a ARPG?
What do people do in D3 after they hit level 60? What do they do in D2 when they hit level 80ish?

This isn't an MMORPG. There are EX-Dungeons and New Game+, what more do you want? It sounds to me like you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

In D2, you PvP'd either high/med/low/very low PvP'd. In D3, you got a refund.
At least that's what I did.

In D2, we rerolled characters or pvp'd. In D3...I guess we quit the game?

Is it wrong for me to stop playing a game because it has "ended"? Not every game has to have some kind of endgame to be good. I do not have to experience all the content of a game to enjoy it

I'll give you some very deep insight. This isn't an mmo. Its a 15 dollar action RPG with a ton of polish. There are secret areas, interesting side quests, and fun but simple mini games. The designers designed the game to be fun. Some people enjoy a good endgame. Others like closure after playing a very fun game.
I played Torchlight 2 mainly on single player exploring every nook and cranny. Found a bunch of secret quests/areas/zones that a person who rushed to the yellow star would not have noticed. I'll finish the game by playng all 4 classes through act 4. Everything on top is just gravy.
Hey, does it matter if i buy it from steam store or runic games? Steam store gives me horrendic 19 euro price while runic games gives me 20dollars which is obviously... better.

You experiment and play around? In D2, my first guy was a necro. He was a revive/IM necro. The build wasn't perfect but I managed to kill hell diablo without the optimal build or stat allocation. My second guy was a poison necro. They hadn't introduced immune monsters yet, so i could get away with it. Again, managed to beat hell diablo. Third guy was a bone necro. I built him after planning him out on a spreadsheet. He killed stuff much faster, and of course, beat hell diablo.
I had found a frostburn gauntlet unique on my bone necro and I transferred it over to a newly created sorc to make a Frozen Orb spammer. I must of built and leveled at least 10 more guys, all with different specs and a different playstyle, or based on certain gear I had found previously. It was fun.
It seems like this type of game isn't for you. That's ok, and its unfortunate that you spent 20 dollars to purchase it. I would eat my loses and move on, or alternativly, I would wait for someone to mod the game so it becomes fun for you.
Ehh, so Torchlight has no "end game"? Isnt it based on diablo 2, where your end game was reaching high levels and/or hunting loot?
Im asking because im willing to buy it in a matter of minutes, so give me heads up. If there are similar loot complexity and leveling depth as it was in D2 its enough for me. Can't check on official site :f
@hacpee And does it happen in TL2 ? :p Because thats what made D2 awesome and thats what awesome in PoE currently, but i want to check TL2 because combat looks awesome, even if world is not dark and gritty, i find its combat fluidity and dynamic movement amazing (from videos).

Torchlight 2 has no "end game" in the mmo sense. Everyone always though that the end game in D2 was collecting loot. I digress. Loot was part of the equation, however, the real end game in D2 was about creating new characters and trying different specs. Loot was a means to facilitate character creation.
Let me put it out there. Torchlight 2 is not a multiplayer game. Its multiplayer is poorly designed. Yet, I find the single player experience to be enjoyable, more so than even Diablo 2 multiplayer was. Like in diablo 2, I will have fun rerolling many guys. I already found a stash of uniques for my future beserkers/engineers/etc to wear. I even have a diferent build for my outlander. I built her previously as a ranged archer. After I beat the game, I'll rebuild her as a necromancer type of character.
My suggestion for all possible new players is to explore every single nook and cranny. The fame system rewards you for this buy giving you more skill points for killing purple/gold monsters. Plus there are hidden side quests that will possibly give you lots of loot.

However not everyone plays the endgame of pokemon, a lot of people put down the game after beating the champion a few times. As said before, you do not have to experience every single part of a game to enjoy it and a lot of people who play pokemon only see one side and still enjoy the it immensely and feel their time and money was well spent.
