Because you'd have a different defense every time. ;o Exactly, but the dunkers would be defenders too so it's evened out. It'd no longer be about who can do the most pirouettes mid-air, but instead who is the best posterizer. The best dunks of all time are incredibly simple, and they happen to be over other people.

Is Artest turning back the clock to DPOY form? On one hand, his recent performances have gotten a lot of press in the last week. On the other hand, Marc Jackson always says that great offense beats great defense, and Marc Jackson's not one to carelessly toss out stupid cliches. But seriously, is it really as simple as being out of shape and not a matter of age or slowing down? He's had several years to realize he could simply lose weight, and I find it hard to believe that he just decides to transform from an good defender to an elite one. Every player has stories like these.
