His falco is just not as good as his fox while Taj is a lot better in that matchup than vs fox. At the same time he played a little bit too offensive as falco, but I won't call it sandbagging. That would just be johning.

Managed to get 9.45 Seconds on Roy's without wavedashing/wavelanding/l-cancling. Going to try some more tonight.

He described it himself as his "pet character" he just wanted to play falco, and I'm pretty sure he expected to 3-0 Taj easily anyway. If he played Hbox or Armada he would probably have gone fox from game 1. At least that's what I think.

Switched to ike for brawl b/c marths smash ability is suckish and is often suicide while ike's is multi target. Takes mroe skill to play a slower character but I consistently can take out 3-4 level 9's.

If i really practice them a lot, then i could probably get down to 7ish seconds. There is only a few times where i could see WDing in my run helping with the run time.

(That being said, I am part of a smash community where half the people inc me do not wave dash and consistently beat those who do, seems people cannot deal with how people who dont wavedash play..anybody else have that experience?)

Peach pretty much hard counters Fox and Falco...a friend of mine mains Peach, and for what its worth the videos and games Ive seen from Armada seem much less impressive when you know a very good peach player. Amusingly Armada doesnt use down A on the ground much, I guess good players shouldnt get hit by it anyway. (That being said, I am part of a smash community where half the people inc me do not wave dash and consistently beat those who do, seems people cannot deal with how people who dont wavedash play..anybody else have that experience?) I have a few friends who are wavedashing all over the place during games, but mostly they are just dumb players. I am mechanically unsound and beat them pretty easily with certain characters. The mechanical skills are only a small part of the equation and if you aren't practicing enough for them to be 2nd nature, its almost better to not use them at all. Using an SCII analogy: It is technically a bad thing to queue up units, however, most players even in low masters still do. It is unlikely your wavedashing friends who lose to those who don't play more SSBM than a Low Masters player plays SCII. So while a pro dedicates no mental capacity to wavedashing, SHFFLing, etc, your friends dedicate a lot. I can't tell you how many times I've had someone's Marth wavedash into a Fox upsmash, or another move like that. If your not going to practice enough, you might as well queue up 3 marines, its better than having no reinforcements.
