I hate wisps! Especially when I use Rain/Magma because I think the trigger for teleporting is when you hit them with a magic attack. And Rain/Magma count as magic attacks. So those damn wisps just starting teleporting everywhere it's nuts.
The trigger is any attack, believe me. I've had them warp behind on a spear poke (interestingly I almost never have them warp on a chaser hit. Maybe there's some minimum distance they have to be away from you to warp? Since I launch chasers after my third attack which has knockback they're pretty much never close to me when I hit with a chaser) lots of times.
If they only warped on magic hits they'd be cake since I could just attack x3 till they die since BM range > wisp range.
I've never had it warp on broom hits, though. When I solo a map with wisps I usually lay down acid + magma + shuru and just run around zigzagging through like crazy... and I see the wisps pewpewpew everywhere @_@ Weird.
Edit: Taking a bit of a DFO break, been playing that too religiously; fatigue's making it feel like a chore than a game. Prolly gonna pop on and off to pvp and stuff a bit, but yeah. Looks like I'ma be falling behiiiiiiiiind :p
I just started. If anyone around my level would like to group up look me up - Timisdaman (currently lvl 7 mage...either going to go elementalist or battle mage)
Come back in a couple of days and you can party with my lv23 blademaster And go elementalist, they're more useful with blademasters (plus I hate sharing loot that could possibly be useful for me ;; )
Uhhh, after you class-change at 18, don't waste SP - if in doubt, ask in the thread and we'll probably be able to dig up some sort of info. Before that, play around with skills from various classes (and watch some vods) to see what playstyle you prefer, so you know what to build for, I guess? >_>
