HayprO: I do like the ultralisk, however it’s not like it used to be in broodwar where it could solve a lot of problems; In sc2 it's more of a support unit. In zvt ultras are good vs. non-mech armies even though they do a lot more damage vs. armoured units, the reason behind that is that they never reach the terran army and can therefore not deal any damage. Against protoss people seem to be happy about ultras destroying force fields, but I don’t understand the reason for that. When you have ultras protoss will have a lot of colossus and therefore your ultraling will still die no matter if there are force fields or not. Still though, they are a viable unit and I like making them in both matchups even if it’s sometimes because they are cool and not because they will solve a problem. Also, to comment on that ultras can’t be stunned anymore, which is the spell thors have: it’s never upgraded and thors aren’t the best counter to ultras anyways. As much as I respect this guy, I disagree with everything he said right here. Personally I think the ultra not reaching terran army is utter bullshit, yeah you can't a move into a mech army for sure. But I fucking LOVE doom dropping ultras on a siege line then moving my roaches in. As for the ZvP matchup, I'm finding ultras/hydra/ling against this heavy sentry/stalker collosus matchup. Other than that paragraph, good read.

They are articulate, imaginative, and overall written with clear purpose in mind (don't underestimate the value of this). However, these write ups, though different from each other in content, are thus only creating an illusion of originality. They all use the same archetype. Almost in every recent published FE or news article about the higher levels of leagues, there has to be a side story at the beginning, sometimes included in later bits in the article to make a parallel. I am kind of sick of story time. I want people to put more work and time into the direct (note: not metaphorical) information that needs to be sent across. I know there is no clear standard for what a FE is (it's usually just really good shit, objectively). But everyone is acting like there is. I miss the FE's that were written without the preconception of it becoming an FE. Those are the ones that lack this artistic "fluff" that in my opinion actually takes away from the message. It was refreshing the first few times. Now it is almost glue. I'm sorry if this is a bit harsh or if I'm the only one that feels that way. EDIT: Just wanted to reiterate after re-reading some of the player descriptions and interviews, that the content is simply fucking awesome and well done. It's that extraneous stuff that I feel is becoming redundant and unnecessary. I think the little storyline are awesome. For one, i think it acts as an interesting hook to start off the article; the metaphors within the storyline could be pondered by the readers and give the article a deeper meaning. Sure, articles from way back don't necessarily have these elements, but the inclusion of it doesn't make it a bad thing right? The message is still there, the interruption of the article is our own personal one, it give the readers that much wiggle room when approaching an article of this stature.

No, not right (in my opinion). Different strokes for different folks I guess.

During all these years, saying "TL shall rule over all" was mix of a joke, blind trust, fanboyism and hope but right now it is happening. And just a note for Mr Nazgul, as non-staff member of TL we might not understand how it feels to live all that is happening right now, however watching all of you work years after years to create events, improve everything already existing and all is just stunning. The TL staff already earned more respect than most people i've encoutered, irl or not. Long live TL!
