It's a shame $O$ can't get any of those sweet, sweet $100,000 (or $200,000 now?!) BlizzCon points for another 6 months, but at least there are those independent tournaments. It's a shame they don't have the Premier designation; but I guess those are reserved for the tournaments that "see the 32 best StarCraft II players in the world compete", like IEM Katowice.
The worst thing is that I cannot imagine sOs qualify for BlizzCon this year under the current rules. So we can only hope, MSI or somebody similar will forget the stupid WCS points and will organize a tournament with good prize pool, not region locked, and open for everybody ...
Nice game at proleague the other day. An easy opponent, but sOs still brought an interesting strategy - play defensive, build carriers, +3 air weapons! #CantLose
Probably not many people know that game, but in the semifinal of the Kings of the Craft tournament, sOs did something similar against Ryung. It was a very close game, sOs used many bases, several of them hidden and based on a strong economy, he built a huge army of tempests and carriers. However, Ryung played an excellent game, used the lack of mobility of sOs's army, so the game was very close for a long time. But at the end, the sOs's deathball was too strong. You can watch it here: https://www.twitch.tv/rootcatz/v/41752841 since time 5:30:00.
The first 3 minutes of the game, the camera was on CatZ and the other caster :-))))) So enjoy it and laugh about the cleaning of the nose and similar things, the casters do, when the camera is not on them :-)
Ah, thanks for the link. Yes, very similar game. It played out a little differently though, with the hidden bases going unnoticed, which is interesting.

I do not think, this is the new meta for PvP ... I do not think, sOs could play this against some top opponents, herO, Zest, Maru, Inno ... I think he is pulling this out just against weaker opponents ... already when he played tempest carriers against Ryung in the game that I mentioned above, he almost lost the game when he was unable to defend the two bases on the right. So I think, this is just being playful, creative, having fun ...
But it is surprising that it works at all. The key thing is probably the combination of storm and interceptors, as they exactly complement each other. That is something great.
And the mothership today, that was just awesome, I believe, it was based on the idea that in some big fight of the armies, he could target with the interceptors the observers and if that succeeds, Zoun is dead as it would take him some time to bring other observer ...

That was the first time when I saw sOs really frustrated after a loss. He has made several mistakes in that game, but anyway, it was an amazing and courageous play from him ... and just 3 seconds separated him from a probable win ... anyway, he brought us amazing games again. It was a pity, he has forgotten the first oracle and lost it. With it, the whole base switch would have been much, much better ... he could have killed 20 SCVs ...
what make me confused was that he didn't drop in INno's base, I mean, he has his Warp Prism there, if he drop, he could have potentially force INno's army home. Maybe he didn't have enough APM...

Hard to know where the terran army is. In scrappy games like that taking big risks will often lose you the game

Inno had his barracks rallied into the base for defense & later during the big fight that decides the game he was too focused on the actual fight.
Yesterday, sOs has beaten herO once more. He did that through Cure. In the GSL pre-match and post-match interview, Cure mentioned that sOs trained him and told him exactly, what style herO will play. After the match, he mentioned that he should buy sOs something for the help. But it is difficult to buy him something because sOs is pretty rich :-))) https://www.twitch.tv/gsl/v/60303756

That was because herO just keep dissing him the the GSL Selection Ceremony, one should know better than dissing the dark lord $O$
Today, sOs showed good games against great opponents and has beaten Stats, TY and Losira to finish it with a loss to Zest the Best in the Proleague finals. Thanks to him and Maru, Jin Air are the winners of this round. But what is awesome, that at the beginning of the new GSL and SSL season, he showed good games, and it seems, he is getting back to the top. So we should expect seeing him doing well in both SSL and GSL, which is agreat.
Also, in his loss against Zest, he tried an interesting strategy with Colossi, which might have worked if his attack came before the first tempests were out ...
