This is starting to become trend: Scarlett takes the lead and in following "match balls" she throws the advantage and ends up losing the series... It's clear that it's a mental thing, not a skill issue, so maybe there is a way to work on this, like professionally with a coach/psychologist, so she could stay calm in these kind of situations... Anyways, tomorrow's WCS group should be easier, let's hope she makes it to that Ro8 ![]()

If I were a gambling man I would have put money on this exact situation happening. I have no idea what someone would do about this, I'm sure she's tried things but nothing working out too great I haven't actually seen the games yet though, maybe it's too harsh to say anything before that

I was happy to see that Scarlett is still very competitive, I hope she will work on this to be able to kill, because she leads on all of her games ! And with that gameplay, she proves that she definitly has a rightfull place in the GSL. But if she plays like this for WCS, then i think it should go very well for her. Good luck Sasha !

I feel she could do way more Ling or Roach counters/ runby like Serral and Raynor do and cripple their opponents while holding the attack. This way she wouldn't need to do killings strikes cause the enemy would already be dead ![]()

But I bet it's hard to do runbies with Ling or Roaches when you have to defend from Immortal/sentries pushes, or when you drone up to keep the advantadge, or when you don't want to waste 5/6 larva to make a runby that will be shut down by a fast 3 zealots warp-in instead of building an army. Larva is also a resource in zergs, so you have to waste them wisely, not wasting half of it and 400 minerals to kill 5 probes. Those "a ling runby killed 20 probes" situations are the exception. I don't know, I don't like those "she should do X in her games" coming from Plat/Diamond scrubs like us. And I know you say that in the "Aw, I wish she did this so she could win more games and make deeper runs" way, but I'm sure it annoys her A LOT jaja ^^.

There are a thousand and one things everyone can do differently in every game, saying anyone should do X or be more like what you wish they would be is... Silly to me, to be polite. Even if people feel the same way, it never seems like a positive way to have a conversation about someone. I was hoping to see something like "how do you feel about the timing and positioning of those Nydus and SH? I feel like if X or Y went differently it would have been that killing blow she needed..." instead of "I wish she would be this way." I miss when that was more common with SC players in general, TL fan clubs and otherwise. Guess I should've said it myself.

reynore trains runbys, scarlett did them in the past, trained different strategies, so opponents cant read her well if she is doing like everyone else too. "oh top zerg, lets secure my bases for runbys" whoops minerals unnecessarily spent because there wasnt a single one. i dont think there is any reason to critizie her, this is not a strategy or training club for scarlett, it is her fan club. sometimes i question a few here if they are really her fans or just shittalkers. sometimes it is better not to say or post anything you might thing is helpful. you might have good intention, but mostly its effect is the opposite. you always should keep in mind, she is in the top 20 of the WORLD. she knows the game better than all our knowledge of the game together. every advice you give here to her, she already knows that. are you guys never annoyed by people who explain to you things you already know? i really hate that. in real life you can stop these people and say, yeah i already know, you can stop explaining. on the web, what is posted, is posted. excuse me for the longer "rant", i am not angry at anyone, just wanted to share my thoughts about this kind of comments. hero is a fucking good player and he was a bit better than her, there is no shame in losing against him.

she lost in GSL... that isn't embarassing or unprecedented at all. Her group had Maru and herO, so she didn't get an easy group. There isn't a harder tournament in the entire world, and she was highly competitive in it even though she lost. She will probably get top 4 in the foreigner tournament.

Terve! Thank you for saying this. Scarlett's performance is very, very good right now and the nerves that got to her aren't anything new (I think I remember a game vs. Innovation when she almost 2-0'd him but then took a poor engagement which threw her off in GSL Season 2 2018). Sure I am sad when she loses, but I just love her style of play - so much variance. GGWP in WCS Winter and the GSL - looking forward to more games. Also thanks to the people who run the fanclub. I'd be missing so many games of her if it wasn't for this fanclub.

She'll have more opportunities with the GSL rule reversion, but now we look to IEM where she'll need to find that killing blow against herO to advance.

GGWP in WCS... In the last game vs Special I loved that she took a fourth back there instead of trying to keep the mid one vs tanks. She played really well today! Btw, is there any benefit in making it first of the group facing the Ro8?... I've thought about that everyday i've seen WCS...

I think the "overreaction" in this thread comes from disappointment. Scarlett could have honestly 4-0'd herO, and the 2nd game of the last series absolutely should have been a win. She was so close, playing really well, for it to all come undone so quickly because of catastrophic mistakes. It's very encouraging that she puts herself in these winning positions, but then it becomes heartbreak to see it lost so quickly. This isn't really new though, so I don't get the "she lost her killer instinct" thing. Games like these have happened plenty throughout her career. sOs at Red Bull, Trap at MLG. They just happen. Honestly I'd prefer to see it now than in a match that might determine her Blizzcon qualification or an otherwise more important game. (I think she does get more nervous at GSL though) She can take positives from these matches. She outplayed herO in a lot of them, and even came back from some terrible early games. She'll have more opportunities with the GSL rule reversion, but now we look to IEM where she'll need to find that killing blow against herO to advance. yea i really never thought about because she's been is gsl for a long time now but maybe its still gets to her a little more nerves than other tournaments but she still plays really good against the best players in world. and she played great games against special who really is one of the best foreign terrans in the world. so well see her in the round robin and iem so there's some good opportunities for her. always cheering for her in any case. also I really like how in wcs she waited patiently and not take bad battles or battles that jusrt lose the match
