Can someone explain me how is Dark winning the poll with 72% in 485 votes??? I don't wanna jump in conclusions too quick but I've seen these polls unreasonably in favor of SKT players a lot of times. Not sure if SKT fans are too many and too "passionate" (in the sense they can't fucking make justice with their votes) or .... I can't think of any other explanation.
I don't get that either. I honestly had trouble remembering who Dark even beat to deserve becoming MVP. Meanwhile TY got the MVP award in 2 matches in the same week. My best guess is that the army of KT fans who runs to the Nexon Arena with presents for the players doesn't have time for petty votes.
I hope the fans don't have full influence over this, otherwise it's 100% bogus.

The weekly MVP is selected according to 60% reporters votes and 40% fans. But the reporters vote in the same idiotic way than fans -.-
Sometimes you have a player from, say, team MVP winning his match and the ace match, and some SKT popular player like Inno beating a scrub, yet everyone votes for Inno!!
You wanna show your love for your fav player? Fine! Give him some nice presents, and let the MVP award for someone who actually deserved it. Maybe they think MVP means "most veloved player"

Are the reporters really that stupid biased? I mean bias is the only reason this week not to vote for TY. 2 MVP awards, 3 wins (including 1 ace) against tougher opposition than the other 2. Every reporter who votes BrAvO this week should be banned from voting in the future, by the way.

I would have said that it was because Dark defeated TY, but then that was last week, and there's basically no reason as to why someone would choose Dark over TY

Makes this award look like a joke though.
880 votes now btw, same percentage.
He was down to 66 or so yesterday. If the reporters have any clue what the fuck they're doing TY can still win overall (if Silvana is right about reporters counting 60% and the fan vote counting 40%) but I'm not holding my breath. Stupid system. Thankfully it's nothing important

Oh I thought they gave prizes at the end of the round to the MVP player who usually is the one that got more weekly MVPs... I'm not sure about money but last year I think I saw a picture of Dream with his supposed prizes. Could it be? Or did I just dream it and got confused?
Lol then I am making all this fuss for nothing :D
Edit: polls still silly. We at TL should do our own weekly MVP awards

They do give round MVP awards, not sure about prizes. But they also add their own selections. E.g. in round 4 last year they also allowed people to vote for Zest even though Zest got 0 MVP awards that round, the reason being that he won every game he played and carried KT.
I do not belong into this club, but you should know, TY will probably play this Sunday against the best foreigners from the WCS tournament in Shanghai this Sunday. Together with other 5 high calibre Koreans (Dear, DRG, ByuN, ByuL, Stork) in a showmatch against 6 winners of the tournament! That is almost like an international tournament without the ban of Koreans.

Yeah, TY is confirmed to play in it. He can win 500$ per map (2k max), so I guess it's worth his time now that KT lost in PL.
Went 2-2 in the all-star challenge at Shanghai. Looked rather underwhelming against Zerg tbh. I mean, I get he fell behind very early against Snute, but his play was still a bit disappointing.
Rock solid against Protoss though. His TvP is actually my favorite among all the top Terrans and I believe the strongest. Still, I hope he's more on point in his upcoming games. I want him to continue to stay a top player for a while. Don't want him slumping just as Proleague round 2 and GSL Ro16 come around.
But we'll see, maybe he looks invincible in Kung Fu Cup next week.
