LOL, I'm sorry, but there's no way that game was played under the definition you just gave us. There is absolutely no way for a Zerg to win being so fucking bad, you playing the game RIGHT with that composition against A-Move roaches, absolutely no way... You prolly made many bad decisions and gave the game away with the pressures, didn't scout properly or just didn't have enough shit. I really like this thread, and sad zealot is cute... But these days Protoss have nothing to complain about, absolutely nothing.

I can only conclude that you are lying about the quality of your play, since blink stalker + immortal with good control should (and completely does) utterly crush mass roach.

Oh, this fan club still exsits? I'm quite surprised, considering that Protoss is the most powerful race at the non-highest level. Let this thread serve as a protoss whine fest after players lose ladder games to superior players for a little bit longer, i guess

Most powerful race at the non-highest level? What does that even mean? If it's not the most powerful at the highest it's straight up not the most powerful.

FFS this is depressing Currently in TLPD.... Of the top 15 players by ELO ranking in korea ....there's only 1 protoss, FXO_Oz ....and he's ranked 15th!!
What is going on?!
Sign me up. I'm sad now, too.

Well no. At lower levels where mechanics and control aren't as good, the design of protoss makes it much easier to get better than other races. The ability to macro up a ball of death and 1a against a terran who can't multitask and drop you and emp properly makes the 'most powerful race at non highest level' valid.

Protoss looking good in HSC4, maybe because it was more invited Protoss players but also that more than half of them are Koreans. Nontheless, will be expecting some serious asskicking later today!

EMP is the easiest AOE spell to use in the entire game. There are tough things for terrans to do, but EMPing is NOT one of them.
This is not the sad terran fan club, and I'm pretty sure you don't need to make one of those.

From a purely objective view point, no. On just a spell comparison, storm has no travel time, sure, but instead you have to worry about keeping the army still long enough to get decent damage from them standing in the storm. With the emp, you get the full effect up front. If you hit you hit, no worrying about whether or not the unit was moving, whether the units are on the edge of the effect, etc.
On top of that, think of the unit the spell is on. Ghosts move at standard infantry speed and can cloak, making it easier for them to catch the opponents army in a compromised position. High templar on the other hand have the slowest move speed of any caster (save the overseer) and lag behind the army. Ghosts also come with 20 more hp, and benefit from the infantry armor that is standard over all of their hp.
But yeah, I suppose this being the sad zealot fan club, that was probably just a weak troll attempt. In that case, bravo! You did it!

Looking at these arguments, why is this thread still allowed to be up? I thought TL was against this type of stuff.

I think it depends how big his army is. When it's around that time when Protoss is taking a 3rd when they're around 110-120 supply, mass roaches can beat it if you don't have sentries. You pretty much need to FF them out and stall. But when you get around 150 supply, mass blink stalkers and immortals destroy pure roach.

Watch me make a 'disgruntled marine' topic and see how fast that closes.
You're totally right by the way

probably because it's better that to keep their whining contained in 1 topic.
