If things look really hopeless there (which they did for a portion of later last year, with only a single Toss by the second round at one point) then I say it's okay to break out the Zealot tears. But an international tournament in which the non-Toss Korean players moved on while the single Korean Toss was knocked out (and pretty much by a PvP)? Nothing to cry about. Kas beating White-Ra and Dimaga beating Pomi were also unsurprising results IMO, and at the matches were pretty close anyway.

I agree, the times are improving (if you've been around 3 gsl seasons ago). Even though IEM4 had 9 Protoss out of top16, the only true hope to reach semifinals/finals was Hero. It is one of those scenarios where quality beats quantity. Protoss may be stacked in numbers, but terran is stacked in calibre (MMA, hello?) And Hero got eliminated from a PvP, had no losses vs the other races. I am just keeping my eye on GSL, with 2 extra protoss advancing than what I had predicted.

Hero dropped a map to both qxc and DIMAGA so judging by his performance I'd say Naniwa had a far better chance of reaching the finals

Yeah things have improved immensely at the GSL. This round will be a true test though, to see if Toss finally can compete at a truly top level in the GSL. If the Protosses have a good showing there then I will consider it a substantial turning point in the chapter of Protosses underperforming. And then we can shift our attention back to Zerg xD

Games like this make me a sad Zealot T_T Yeah don't bunch up all your templars. I can understand EMP qq before the patch, but now there's no excuse for it. Spread your shit out and you'll be fine.
