Most of the talent coming into this was Terrans, so of course you're going to have a lot of terrans in there but the fact that we have 3 Protoss in top 5 means a lot.
Just because so many players play a race does not mean the race is imbalanced. And honestly, it's more players being shitty or not being shitty that determines the final racial distribution.

Huk went 1-2 in bo3 and took 5th place.
MC went 2-2...
So that actually doesn't mean a lot. Out of a list with Hero, Tyler, Ddoro, Agh, Axslav, Gatored, wbc, Attero, Future, Oz, Puzzle and many others would you expect to only TWO come out of the open bracket? If you don't know Oz and Puzzle are actually pretty fucking good at Starcraft 2.

Regarding the above, I agree. The resurgence of protoss recently has been mostly due to a handful of players. We really should wait a bit before saying anything about the balance of the game or the impact off the patch. Still, it certainly is nice.

Puzzle was actually taken out by Hero if I am not mistaken. Hero played absolutely ridiculous until he ran into Huk and fell apart. Some of his games vs Puzzle and Ret were simply amazing and the way he holds a FE with one stalker against a 3Rax defies comprehension. If there were more people playing like Hero we wouldn't have to have as many sad zealots imo.
Also, I was disappointed that Oz didn't make it further since he has monster control.

Why would you be a sad zealot when half the top6 is protoss? -_- Also flat out fewer top-tier protoss were in this tournament. And they got appropriately far for the most part.
Protoss is doing well in GSL. You can ignore racial distribution because the new system hasn't even gone through one cycle yet. WCG qualifiers worldwide show a heavy protoss count.

Puzzle lost to his teammate ganzi so that's just an unfortunate happening nothing to QQ about, and though Oz beat Ganzi, he lost to Keen later. Just happened like that. You should know that not everything works out equally.
And you know what people are saying? 2 base timings all over the place and if that doesn't work standard tier3 play is good too.

He was knocked down by hero, then taken out by Ganzi (who was taken down to lb by Gatored)

HuK, MC, Naniwa, Hero and Kiwikaki, all are unarguably skilled protoss players, the first four id say are potential top 1-2 in the world, and Kiwikaki though he doesnt seem to play much in general (is hard to find a ton of games of him etc) he certainly knows exactly what he is doing in tournaments, he has builds, new builds, stuff that nobody has seen before suprisingly frequently, and when it works it is a wonder to watch. The style of constantly shifting and reinventing strategies as he does will get any high level player really far i think, and make them a threat to the best of the best.

IMO we could easily cut the amount of balance arguments in half if people stopped coming in here and suggesting that the fanclub be closed, something that doesn't exactly seem appropriate for a fanclub.
However, since the very foundation of the club is a mascot who is pretty much an embodiment of implications of imbalance, it's probably going to be hard to entirely separate this fanclub from balance whine. Though I realize that perhaps "Sad Zealot" represents Protoss simply not doing well rather than being underpowered, it's just too easy to make that connection.

Sweden single-handedly eliminated NesTea I just realized that haha. I honestly am not worried about Protoss until Heart of the Swarm comes out, because the new P units seem pretty stupid.
P.S. Do yourself a favor and cover up the bottom 16 (places 17 to 32 if you can't do math) of the table, and the top 16 actually looks pretty good. It's like 7 Zerg, 5 Protoss, 4 Terran or something like that.
