MVP is a total boss, agreed! His solid macro is amazing, but, really, MMA wishing for lucky drops? :/
Despite his multitasking and aggresivity, mma relies on his opponent's making mistakes, while MVP just plays a perfect game. Game genie Terran is back baby!

I don't know if that's entirely accurate. It's not that MMA purely relies on his opponents to make mistakes, it's that he tries to force those mistakes by abusing his insane multitasking ability. By dropping all over the map, he's trying to create small windows of opportunity for himself, and it works against a lot of players who simply can't keep up with him and/or crumple under the pressure. He literally just out-multitasks people into the ground. You can probably put his picture next to the saying "death by a thousand cuts," and you'd be pretty accurate.
It's a completely different style from MVP's, of course, but that doesn't make it any worse, just different. Watching MMA play is like watching a complete slug fest; it's scrappy and aggressive, takes what it can get, and you can just feel him trying to claw his way to victory. Watching MVP is, on the other hand, like watching a chess grandmaster. Very methodical, clean, patient, and downright surgical at times.
In the end, brilliant play from both players today. Glad MVP won MLG, and I'm glad MMA got his Code S spot. Not sure how I feel about GomTvT though, to be honest. I've watched enough TvT today to last me an entire month.
im with ya babylon. although all drops usually depend on some sort of luck, its MMAs skill with the multitasking and the management of the drops that really causes zergs to crumble up.
MVPs games against DRG were just a totally different story though, he destroyed the "terran killer" by doing no real all-iny or cheesy things, just straight up outmacroed and traded better than him. he left the perfect amount of tanks, marines, and bunkers to deal with any counterattacks and was able to use that game genie sense to get himself into crazy positioning. DRG played really well those games actually, but MVP had some of the most solid and flawless TvZ ive ever seen, might have been the best ive seen so far actually. GO MVPPPPPP!!!!!

This was true, at least before Anaheim. Unlike Nestea and MC, the two most accomplished players for their respective races, MVP is actually underappreciated. I think it's mainly due to there being so many extremely good Korean terrans. Bomber, Polt, Puma, MKP, MMA and the entire Slayers terran lineup and still many more. There isn't nearly as big of a list of great zergs or protosses.

Long story about this. I'll make up for it, don't worry :O

this guy does not get enough love. he won mlg and it seems like so many people are more dissapointed than hyped about the result. this guy played so solid it was sickening. he was my first favorite sc2 pro gamer, and still is to this day. he dont put up with bullshit.
Great showing by MVP, surprised that he isn't getting a lot of attention for his win. Probably the most consistent/solid play at this MLG by any player.

Oooh this makes me excited! Thank you Milkis - more content for Mvp is incredible!
