I like Idra and have more respect from him that other gamers but... He lost the 2 game because he got mind trick by B.net 2.0 build orders...He really deserve that loss game. I dont even gonna comment 3 game with imbalance and OP stuff because i dont have enough knowledge like some ppl. But i can see that the lack of scout help him losing that game.
Gl Idra to next time!

At least we finally saw some nice StarCraft, game 3 was one of the few worth watching tournament games so far - and I don't mean just GSL. it was too late by then plus they were fighting during that time so it wasnt a priority It was not too late, Lotze sent at least three groups of zealots before Idra went up to check. And it's always a priority when your economy is being hurt.
What Idra decided to do was counter-harass and sent zerglings to Lotze's top base, which was a good thinking, but expecting to win the game by starving your opponent is always heartbreaking when you find out the hidden expansion.

Funnily enough CheckPrime was the one who gave LotzePrime the idea to use VR's against IdrA haha.

He was pushing towards Lotzes main and expo, it wasnt main priority. And he didnt try to starve him. You obviously didnt watch the game. He was pushing for the kill.
And its just silly when people critisize IdrA for not scouting the proxy stargate. When you see a robo getting thrown down ofcourse you dont scout EVERYWHERE on a 4 player map to find a hidden stargate.

You only need a handful of units to go for the proxy pylon, in the future it doing things like this will be a must. After the first void ray went out it was obvious that the brood lord push will not succeed to end the game and that's why Idra smartly sent lings to shut down the top base, which would have severely limited Lotze's reinforcements and would have allowed Idra to win without switching to another unit mix.

Well that sucks.. Idra should guest commentate some games while he waits to own up GSL season 2.

I read something about his fighting pose? Anyone got a screenshot? I just need a little bit of hope for next season....

It kind of does.

Ugh, Idra, I used to love you, but you couldn't even get past the RO 32 in the lowest-skill Korean tournament we'll ever see. How could he possibly have any hope of success if he can't win - no, can't even get close to winning now?
If you've listened to him in interviews, you know he's never going to recognize his shortcomings and change them. He just believes the solution to everything is to beat his head against the wall even harder, and to practice the same approaches even more obsessively.
By the time the next GSL rolls around, the skill level will have risen enough that he's completely left in the dust. I wonder if he can even qualify then.
Who is paying for his food and rent? He can't possibly be making enough money from his tournaments, because he always loses them.

For sure, for sure.

To be fair, I also have this feeling that as soon as the true pros get going in SC2, they will just take over.

By the next GSL, the game will be much different, patches and all.
Do you think if Jaedong and Flash played SCII, flash would have as much trouble with him as in SC1? lolno.

protoss knew he was the inferior player took huge risks to win the next two games. Its not that taking risksis a bad thing because it makes all games more interesting esp when 2 playesr arnt exactly equal skill but when you can 100% win vs your opponent like that for see a robo but not he hidden stargaet (no1 scouts everywhere every game) is just plain stupid. I would be great if it set IdrA back and the ball was in his court to take the game but to autowin is just bad for the game because we the audience knew well in advance who won without even any struggle whatsoever.
