Maybe people have already been doing this and I was just in the dark, but that seems like a ridiculously powerful strat. Just drop two infestors near the mineral line, shoot two FGs in the same spot, and you just got an easy 3-6(made those numbers up, but you get the idea) worker kills. Whether or not he was the first to do it, I will happily attribute that bit of genuis to TLO. Definitely the most fun player to watch in the beta so far. | ||

No. That game against koll was already over at that point, not to mention it was a very peculiar decision for koll to transfer all his probes from his hidden expansion to his high yield at that particular moment. If anything, baneling drops are more effective at the same goal while being more cost effective. | ||

But if you already have infestors, then it would be a good tactic. Infestors are becoming a common unit to get in ZvZ, especially when both players have mass roach. If you already have them, why not use them to pick off workers when they have extra energy. For example, you don't get HTs and a shuttle for the sole purpose of storm drops, but since you end up getting HTs in most matchups, storm drops are a useful way to harass. It isn't like the HTs become useless after they cast their first storm, you pick them up and run away. And the game versus Koll was not already over at that point. They were on a similar number of expansions and army size was fairly close. TLO had the advantage but the game was far from over. | ||
