What is the reason?
I was asking myself the same question :s... and don't generalize to the US, why not all countries outside asia?
I think kpop is a niche genre for people, I don't speak more than a few words of Korean but enjoy kpop ... I assume people can't get past the language barrier. Also, I mean kpop is good but i don't think it will catch on in the USA else where outside of Asian markets.

Ye, can feel that.
When I tell people my music taste they go like: "But you don't understand them?" But I don't really care, you don't understand hardcore (rock type, not electronic type) and that's good music aswell. Besides, like every song is about love so you get the message
Meh, when people give me the excuse of "you can't understand what they're saying" then I tell them you CAN understand what they're saying. I don't want to sound cheesy, but music is universal. Besides you can always go back and look up the lyrics. Just watching the MV alone can tell you what the song is about some times.
