I listen to both k & jpop, i'm no Japanese expert or anything but even with the level of japanese I have, still I notice that Genie jap ver sound awkward. Their pronunciations is off, this is confirm by jpop fans. That new MV is nothing exciting. Kara in fact did better than them.
But Genie is actually a catchy song, good beat. snsd has large fanbase, so I thing they still has a moderate success as a hallyu star.
