I'm sure that if they wanted, they could have the SNSD girls sing Oxford English, or in the cutest Southern Drawl for that matter. Same thing happens in the Netherlands and Germany (elsewhere probably as well), there's a certain image of what someone (singer, ceo, chimney sweep) should sound like, and if that isn't a strong enough force to induce people to speak (sing) in a certain manner, there is the production crew backing it up with a much stricter defined set of rules. Same thing as voice-overs in British/American(/???) media speaking with foreign accents, voice-overing with a certain accent is actually a job for some people. Of course the BBC has PR speaking people on the payroll, it's just that the 'strangeness' of foreign speakers has to be demonstrated. Such speakers often have less of a horrible accent in English themselves, but lets not have that interfere with the production of news for an audience accustomed to a certain way of being informed. Also, not suspecting kpop production companies completely controlling things like these seems rather naive. Don't like the song, can't recognise any of the girls anymore (it's been a couple of years actually), final destination seems to be a cluster of indistinguishable gynoids doing simple dances to generic music. | ||

2. GD Part 2 mv/song was a bit better than the weird coup d'etat shit. 3. even as a YG stan and VIP I'm starting to get real sick of the tryhard shit every YG has been doing for almost 2 years now with the weird over the top fashion . I'm the biggest Taeyang fanboy and hopefully his album goes back to his roots of hip hop r'n'b and wasn't tainted by whatever emotional struggle GD has been dealing with and his weirdass songs, it's pretty much the only thing I look forward for from YG anymore and perhaps a new BigBang album. | ||

There's a Japanese pop duo who does songs in Japanese, and sometimes releases full English versions. One song is called Secret Santa, and in the English version, the singer sings secret Santa. In the Japanese version it's sekuretto s(h)anta. Can sing it perfectly well in the English version, but makes it Engrish style for the Japanese version. | ||
