Not a bad chapter, I actually feel bad about Yuki, despite the fact she's kinda crazy. I really do think Utsumi made the right decision, this time at least. I also have a feeling that Shou wasn't really talking about the love hotel, and it was just a silly coincidence. She doesn't seem like the type to do anything really forward like that, to me at least.
I wonder what's going to happen now that Kodaka knows Yozora's past.
The series turns from a bad parody to a horribad romcom, that's what.
I wouldn't say bad romantic comedy. I read through all 7 novels and I found it thoroughly entertaining and utterly hilarious. The mc isn't oblivious to the girls' feelings (a shocker in otaku media), and we stand to have some major developments in volume 8.

If you found 1~5 hilarious then all I can say is that you don't read enough of the parody genre, which is rather strange considering the influx of them in the recent years. If we consider the parody portion of Haganai by itself it'll be average at best, except for how you know, all of the jokes and parodies have been done to death already by a dozen of similar works before them. While it isn't exactly fair to judge based on that, well, standards get higher over time. The execution of something cliche better be amazing if it wants to impress.
As for the RomCom part, I got disgusted enough with the series by vol 6 to just drop it, so I can't say much for vol 7. But unless it delivers something amazing in one vol, I heavily doubt my opinion on how it is just a trashy romcom will change. Sena is one of the more boring characters ever built entirely on fan service. Kobato's is a loli Kuroneko, who is already unoriginal and boring as hell, she does serve as a good mascot though. Even the most appealing of the characters to me in Yozora pretty much rides purely on visual appearances, personality wise she is just a rehash of a dozen of other tsunderes of the genre, about the only thing that can potentially distinguish her is the S nature toward her opponent. The characters simply fail to impress. The plot? Um....what plot? We arguably see more plot movement from the like of Index and Zero no Tsukaima. To be honest, even the lol-drag-series-on-longer kind of plot from OreImo and parts of Toradora impressed me more than Haganai.
01:10 ecael I am probably more impressed 01:10 ecael by IS and OreImo plot 01:10 ecael over Haganai 01:10 Anelace lol 01:10 Anelace that's true 01:10 Anelace you didn't drop IS!
Random Shut up and Jam remixes made me remember a legendary jrpg
It makes you recall the golden age of snes jrpgs as well as the ridiculousness of charles barkley, silly basketball themed jrpg that makes endless references to things like pocky in which this can happen
you walk into a church: The floor is stolen from Final Fantasy, the doors from Chrono Trigger, and there's the save angel from SD3 *Head explodes due to awesomeness and nostalgia
I can't say it was particularly good, but it wasn't terribly bad, it was just okay. Everything felt really fast paced, and not surprising since they're cramming like 50+ episodes into three movies. I also couldn't help but relate everything I saw to the gundam shows that followed it; like how most of the plot was redone by SEED, some of the back story behind Char, etc.
Also, I couldn't help but notice the animation, since it was something from 30ish years ago. I was surprised at how Amuro didn't get a "mid-series" upgrade like many other gundam series, but stuck with the RX-78 and was just tearing shit up with it, being imba Newtype and all.
PS. Amuro felt like such a wimp most of the time in the movies, always crying and running off qq'ing somewhere, and gets slapped so many times too haha. Seeing those 3 kids running around White Base with everything happening was amusing too.

I really don't like the ending. there is just no epilogue. Jin dies, so what? do the people rebuild? Ruuji X Kotona or Ruuji X Mii? Does Seijirou ever get cured? Garaga returns to his village? Ra-kan rebuilds Kida-han? And they give me nothing at all. All these lose threads needs tying up and you give me Jin is dead, all is well....
What happens to Zairin and Boora-sensei? the Digald soldiers that helped Ruuji? Why no epilogue. Biggest question of all, Ruuji X Mii? or Ruuji X Kotona! I need an answer
finished Zoids Genesis. It was entertaining, but I feel like it kinda fell apart and got rushed at the end. + Show Spoiler +
ending is just really bad. I was seriously hoping for Ruuji x Kotona when the marriage thing was brought up. Also, Mii got way too caring for Gin/Souta (hate this character so much mainly because he just happens to be able to pilot any zoid for no explained reason. such a bad plot device to get Gil Dragon to fly. also he seduces Mii away from Ruuji by acting all innocent) and messed up all her tsundere build up. It kind of seemed like Ruuji was going for her near the end but we don't get anything concrete. Romance aside, although I expected some sort of brainwashing/enslavement, the fact that the machine soldiers were just souls is really out there. Jin being a power hungry dictator who destroys everyone is way too cliched; I was hoping for some kind of realistic ambition (ex: create a harem) or rather an actual reason for Digald as a country to invade. I didn't like the pacing or even most of the plot development the last 10 episodes or so. Sky city and advanced technology was a pretty cool idea but I think they could've executed it way better than this. Ra Kan coming back to life is not appreciated either; a "barrier" should not stop an explosion that can vaporize an entire city. Lack of any epilogue is definitely the worst. Despite all that complaining, I did like most of series. Watching Ruuji's growth and gaining allies was simple but well done. Btw, I actually really liked Felme's character (particularly her voice. so soothing and quiet but with a hint of awesome...) but she gets shot down by Jin in 2 seconds. Zairin is pretty cool too but he didn't really team up with Ruuji which I was looking forward to.
edit: oh yeah and one of the better things about this anime was the music. I don't think the soundtrack was anything special, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Thats the general opinion of the original, with it being just ok. However, now that you have seen the original, its time for Zeta Gundam, which is godly.

Volume 7 has Kodaka finally declare that he realizes all the girls are in love with him, but he is afraid to accept their confession because he doesn't want to ruin his club. Kobato has no chance >_< neither does Maria Q_Q. Yukimura is gender confused so she's out of contention too. The ranking right now is probably going Sena -> Rika -> Kate
About haganai, I think you guys think way too much For me, if it makes me laugh sometimes and keeps me watching for more than 5 minutes without boring me to death (almost dropped shakugan no shana season 2 because... well it sucked), it's good enough. I don't mind cliche as long as it still entertains me. I know that from an objective point of view haganai most likely isn't that good, but for me it's one of the best shows this season, losing only to fate/zero, and coming close to ben-to. Well, I am pretty much pleased by anything, I've even kinda liked seikon no qwaser

Major developments? Sounds like cliches aplenty to me -.- Good thing I dropped.
EDIT - Oh yeah, amusingly, I think Yukimura has a better chance as a trap than a reverse trap. Just one more decision on the author's part that baffles me. Then again this love people have shown for niku is probably the more incomprehensible thing to me lol

Well, if it starts as a dumb romcom I'd bitch infinitely less, but I was expecting good parody and got Haganai, so yeah, much anger.
Cliche doesn't stop things from being entertaining, the only problem they pose is that we are much more likely to use a higher standard because we've seen it done already. If you can somehow watch a cliche show and treat it as if it hasn't been done to death, well, power to you.
Niku as a character makes no sense to me. Are people just too pretentious to pick up porn to fap to so they need a character built entirely based on service?
The Yozora-Sena interaction got old in one vol, possibly because of the lack of depth in both characters. Ami-Taiga from Toradora kept my attention much longer for something of the same nature.
I do agree about all the love for sena being incomprehensible. While her interactions with Yozora are nice, I can't get myself to like her as I don't quite like the big titted oujo archetype. Characters like Ayatsuji from Amagami and Rin from FSN are much more appealing to me ^^
Just finished watching both seasons of Gundam 00 and the movie. Was really awesome. It felt like Wing reborn with a lot more clarity. Movie was pretty good.
It's all up there with my favorites, but not my top spot.

I have no idea how you thought 00 was like Wing reborn with the exception of maybe the first few episodes of season 1 and the fact that the pilots are all young teenagers.

I used to share ur attitude and views. I used to be very easy going and liked to watch animes casually without discrimination.
That was until I started to watch really good animes, then it kinda went downhill from there. I find it extremely difficult to get pass the 2 min mark sometimes, and I just turn off the vid all together and dont even bother trying to catch up on my backlog of animes for the rest of the day. The trick imo is to just mentally prepare urself to not expect anything when watching these, for lack of a better word, "bad" animes.
Ah w/e, I sound like a elitist or w/e. But after watching anime for more than a year now, I guess it cant be helped.
