While I agree, I wasn't invested into the character too much because they didn't bother with her. I'm apathetic to a character who isn't important because...well..they arent' important. But devoting like 90 percent of the plot of the first half to a character then like ignoring it completely it, is just offputting lol. | ||

My biggest complaint with Zoids Genesis Zoids Genesis + Show Spoiler + I really don't like the ending. there is just no epilogue. Jin dies, so what? do the people rebuild? Ruuji X Kotona or Ruuji X Mii? Does Seijirou ever get cured? Garaga returns to his village? Ra-kan rebuilds Kida-han? And they give me nothing at all. All these lose threads needs tying up and you give me Jin is dead, all is well.... What happens to Zairin and Boora-sensei? the Digald soldiers that helped Ruuji? Why no epilogue. Biggest question of all, Ruuji X Mii? or Ruuji X Kotona! I need an answer | ||

I went to an anime con and there was a table stacked with boxes of doujin books. Oblivious to what they were, I started sorting through them to find anime or manga that I had seen. And then I noticed the 18+ sign...and that most of them were plastic wrapped and had "promiscuous" images...my poor eyes x_x Exploring the anime world one | ||

So we rewatched it. And Macross 2 is good. All the good stuff I remembered is still there. The battles are still really cool, and the Metal Siren is still one sexy motherfucker. And the story it tells was pretty good as well, along with the characters and the message and such. In fact, rewatching it reminded me that one character in the show, Ishtar, was my very first waifu, and I somehow had forgotten about her lol. The only flaw in the series are just minor ones, largely tied to how long the series is. Because its just 6 episodes, you don't get the development you might have had if it was even twice as long, much less the 2-4 cour shows the other main Macross series are. Ingues, the main villain, comes off as little more than a generic space hitler. Feff didn't get the development he otherwise could have gotten as well. But like I said, minor problems overall for a 6 episode OVA. What was there was good. Score upgraded. On a related note, we realized that Toru Furuya was the VA for Feff in the show. Toru Furuya is also the voice actor for Amuro Ray in Gundam. When we realized this, it radically changed my perception of the character lol. I watched this show for the first time in 7th grade. And now, 13 years later, I rewatch it, and my mind is completely blown. My entire perspective of Feff's character is radically altered, and I kept asking myself "Amuro, why are you piloting a red mecha? Aren't you supposed to be a good guy?" etc etc lol | ||

I guess you know how to read Japanese like Blast. I was excited when I found out MangaGamer was doing this and downloaded the Trial asap. And I already played through some of the Trial and Riho is the one Im most interested in anyways, so itll all work out well. Not like I plan to go through every route, thats just ludicrous... | ||
