Saw The Master TWICE this weekend. For those of you not familiar, Paul Thomas Anderson wrote and directed Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love, and There Will Be Blood. It was...well, there's not enough I can say about this movie. Probably won't be everyone's cup of tea, but then again what is. If you want to see something thought-provoking, beautifully shot and edited and acted, and just downright beautiful and moving, check it out. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

![]() Suffers from mediocrity at every level except special affects. The CGI and visuals are spectacular. There are very few movies that engage the eyes in a more exciting way. That being said, all other facets of the movie are dull. The script lacks creativity and the acting is decent at best. The logistics(ie character actions, plot holes, enemy blunders) were also pretty unbelievable. On top of that, the ending left part of the movie unresolved: the love triangle-esque thing. + Show Spoiler + It is the huntsman's kiss that revives the princess, so does that mean he is her true love? The duke's son did not revive her. But is seems like the duke's son cares about her in a more romantic way. Overall, 5 /10 The great CGI helped redeem the lackluster everything-else.

Warning: don't read if squeamish. + Show Spoiler + Nothing like watching yourself being sodomized while eggs are inserted into the gaping hole in your back then having gasoline poured in to really make you laugh, huh? Cripes that was weird.

![]() Funny Games from 1997, of which the american movie (same name) is a shot-by-shot remake. I enjoyed the american version, but originial is better.

You can better pain an image of the horribleness of the French prison when you read the details rather than watch it.

![]() It's a great, enduring story and film but I didn't love it. It's too blunt and the noir narration actually made me cringe or roll my eyes often. I feel like narration doesn't belong in movies overall unless it's basically perfectly done and necessary.

Yeah. In the book I think he's in a cell so small he can barely move and wallows in his own filth. His food is rotten and he comes out looking almost dead. In the movie he gets a beard. My biggest takeaway from the book was that prison is horrible and that however my life may be here it would beat not having freedom. The movie didn't convey the same feeling.

![]() Recently watched: Cabin in the Woods - most original film I've seen in a while, still not quite as good as people made it out to be. No real twist as such but like everything Whedon does it is fresh. The Revenant - pretty awesome zombie film in the vein of Shawn of the Dead, but darker. Well worth a watch. Lockout - pretty standard action-sci-fi film. Can anyone tell me why the two brothers had Scottish accents from different parts of Scotland? 30 Minutes or Less - pretty funny crime caper with likeable characters, and Aziz Ansari was pretty funny.

No really, if you have not seen this, go watch it. It's got a lot to offer, some humor, some sex, some action, some intellectual moments, some emotional moments. Oh man. Fantastic.

6/10 Plot was pretty confusing for the first third of the movie, but after the main culpit was revealed it started to make a lot of sense. A lot of twists and meaningful ending

Edit: Well I watch Silence of the Lambs last night ![]() It was my first watch, Yeah I know right? how come I never watched it? Well I guess it was because I thought it was an horror movie up until now... A good thriller, even though it gets a bit obvious to the end how the thing will go and I could through the end "twist". A must watch. Also: ![]() Sword of the Stranger I started watching more animes lately after a friend intreduced me with this website: http://myanimelist.net/ The action and the production of the movie was awesome! Really high animation. Add to that the good story line and we have a great anime movie.
