Hey Into the Wild was great!

As long as she's not the main character or seen for the majority of the film it's fine. lol. \
I had "The Road" (2009) in my TV and Movies folder for a few weeks, and then I watched Slush play "I am Alive" on his stream, so it made me finally watch it.
The Road is a really great post apocalyptic movie in my eyes. Nature is kinda dead, people are kinda dead, so little food and fuel and there are "good guys" that don't want any trouble and "bad guys" that do what they have to and more. It's also easy to get emotionally connected to the characters and understand what they're going through, even the bad guys.

I watched it in a bit of a hurry so it didn't get 100% of my attention at all times, but I would give it like an 8/10.

Recently watched Doppelganger, Cure and Kairo from Kiyoshi Kurosawa.
Watch these movies, also I'll recommend anything from him, not that I've seen all his movies. If you do, don't be put off by the first 30 minutes of many of his movies, which can be often classified as horror :D

The movie doesn't explain what caused the apocalypse. Nature is just dead and earthquakes happen. Tries to find good in a bad world and question just what good is.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

Prometheus (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/)
Was really hoping on a Alien prequel. The remark "different story in the alien universe" completely covers the movie. Found it to be a quite simple and predictable storyline. The landscapes and other surroundings are beautiful though.

Men in black 3
Exactly what the title promises.

Was wondering any of you know some good film noir detectives? You know the classical stereotype of the the low shady detective and the hot dame in distress.
It's being used so often i feel i have to watch some of the movies it originated from.

My advice would be The Big Sleep, but I don't know the genre too well.

^this. One of my all time favorite movies. Maltese Falcon and Bogey is also quite fun. Both are classic detective stories with Bogey being the picture of calm and controlled while Nicholson's gettes is drawn in over his head.

The Maltese Falcon is basically the prototype detective noir. Also probably check out The Third Man in addition to the other ones mentioned although it's not exactly that formula.

Robot & Frank

Was better than I expected, it's near future vision seems pretty right on and it's pretty funny and doesn't do anything that's not fine, and it's actually very interesting to me how the muddled-ness in parts matches up with the character's dementia.

The arrogance and intolerability of trying to tell a personal story unfolds, but Fellini himself manages to do just that brilliantly, and it's not something that makes you feel bad about life and stuff, quite the contrary. It took me forever to get around to watch this (one of those that sat on my to watch list for ages) but anyone interested in any sort of art should probably make some time for this at some point because it's essential and also totally engaging.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion man

Snow white and huntsman 6/10
Charlize Theron was good in this, Stewart was shit. Thor was ok.

Prometheus 7/10
I really don't see the whole hype with movies drawing parallels with the bible. To me it's like you ran out of ideas and then hey let's make a movie where shit gets deeper and the bible comes in. Predictable but the environment was pretty good. Annoying characters.

The Dark Knight Rises 8/10
Just barely met my expectations. A lot of random stuff just happening for no reason. Wasn't coherent.

Cabin in the Woods 6/10
Yeeeaaahhh ok I see where they're going with this but it could have been better. Reminded me of Cube Zero. Characters were annoying as fuck and stupid.

MIB 3 7/10
Well, it certainly delivered. Good flick. Had all the classic elements of an MIB movie.

American Pie Reunion 7/10
Actually better than expected.

Killer Elite 7/10
Just another Jason Statham movie, Clive Owen made it better.
Yea that looks just like Kang Min... amazing game sense... and uses mind games well, but has the micro of a washed up progamer.

Recently rediscovered my Woody Allen collection. I remember I always used to love this movie. Watching it now, I can certainly pick out a lot of the cheesy humor and all that, but it's certainly worth a watch. I'll probably be watching "Take the Money and Run" and then "Love and Death" next. I remember them to be absolutely awesome.

Pretty cool movie, 8/10. A lot of people don't like it but I thought it was quite funny. I'm also a huge sucker for tear-jerkers so I actually teared up/cried during some of the more emotional moments or what have you ;_;

i love how this is a true story, just amazing how he con people to believing hes a teacher, doctor, pilot at the age of 17

I think living the life of a con artist can be pretty straightforward, disregarding all the necessary documentation and proof he might have needed. Make people believe you've been doing your fake job for years. Pick up on small details that can help you be convincing. Even try to act embarrassed when others doubt you. That way the guilt gets reflected back onto them for questioning you.
Oh, get a job? Just get a job? Why don't I strap on my job helmet, squeeze down into a job cannon, and fire off into job land, where jobs grow on jobbies!

Yeah, like both movies are obviously on the same theme, and anyways, they are movies, Godfather is better than Pulp Fiction, and Pretty Woman is way better than Goodfellas, hands down etc. what kind of ridiculous statement is that ahah :D, and I personally prefered 3-Iron
