The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
This 2006 animation is artificially suspenseful in a cute teen Japanese relationship kind of way. It's worth viewing, as it's well animated and has good voice acting, but not a work of profound exception. The computer aided animation blends in very well, and most effects used are precise without over emphasis. Overall it seems like a lot of dedication and effort to tell an pseudo-ordinary tale, but it is right on target.

There are tons of animated Batman/Superman movies since 2008. Go watch them all, they are just as good if not better.

The new Resident Evil: Retribution movie actually wasn't absolutely terrible. It was much better than the previous movies besides Resident Evil 2 (That's just in my opinion though). The thing I loved about Resident Evil movies is when the outbreak just started... The thing I disliked is when they tried to turn it into this really crazy story line and they started adding all this mutation bull shit.
+ Show Spoiler +The start of the movie was the best when they had the "Beginning" of the outbreak in which civilians meet up with the zombies and then mayhem pursues. I really wish they had those elements in the movies again.

I saw this at the movies when it was released, and re-watched it the other day. Still an amazing movie. Among my favourite Eastwood directed movies, alongside Million Dollar Baby.

What is that :p at the end of the sentence?
What are you trying to sarcastic? Are you trying to trick people to watch it but then if it turned out not as good, you would say "dude, I've placed the :p sign at end of it."? Or are you simply happy with the movie that the tongue sticking out is a by-product of what you've witness?
Come on, tell me which assumptions are you trying to accomplish with the sign? I need to know man!

How can you be so certain?!?! It could easily be one of the above explanations! I need to the man himself confirming this.

From Dusk Till Dawn

OK, this is pretty fun if you are buying what it's selling. It's a weird mix though of gritty and over the top. I don't really like how conventional grindhouse imitation it eventually becomes though and a lot of the zing!/"badass" lines are pretty cheesy and the innocent family's transformation is also just conventional. Could have been more interesting but it has funny moments and lots of ultraviolence. Also Salma Hayek. And when I say Salma Hayek, I mean you have to see this, eye popping, jaw dropping Salma Hayek.

Miike flick from the masters of Horror series. The first thing that comes to mind, is Billy Drago's incredibly bad acting. Apart from that, the film really surprised me in a positive way. The japanese costums were awesome and the film has an interesting (although very messed up) plot with good speeding (duration of the film is only 60 min). If somehow possible you should watch a japanese version with subtitles as the english of some important actors is not very good and takes away from the film.
Overall I give it 7,5 out of 10 points mainly because the film left an uneasy feeling even some time after the credits.
If you are under 16 you should not watch this, seriously it is violent and gross in many ways.

On August 13 2012 11:08 YODA_ wrote:![[image loading]](http://content7.flixster.com/movie/11/16/36/11163653_det.jpg) Drive I would rate it a very solid 8.5/10. Very classy movie, great performance by Ryan Gosling(not that he had to do too much, but some actors just couldn't pull off the quiet confidence he exuded), not exactly complicated but extremely well shot imo, and I just loved the feel of it. Is going in my top 25 list, if not close to the top ten. Nothing super amazing about it, just a really solid movie. If I can project a mere 50% of the coolness that Gosling does in this movie, I will have it made.
I never enjoyed Grand Theft Auto or various crime thrillers but I agree with this statement. It's well made, suspenseful, and intense. Not for the family or casual viewing.
