Are the writers trying to get viewers to feel sorry for Cersie or something? Her scene with Sansa and Tyrion feel like they are trying to have us feel sorry for her regrets and current situation (specifically where she went wrong with Joff) . But then just last episode she was threatening Tyrion after Mycella was leaving King's Landing, and a few episode before she seemed amused when discussing how Sansa's brother would die.
I dunno, just seemed wierd how they tried to work that out.
Overall great episode. I love the conflicting interactions between Arya/Tywin, Jon/Ygritte, Cat/Jaime. Actor playign Jaime is amazing, and the actress as Ygritte is special too lol. Dany's scene overall this entire season to me has been boring, but I expected that until she gets out of Quarth/ dragon's have matured. And I thought this seasons 10 episodes, yet the preview for episode 8 says otherwise

I don't think it's as much about making us feel sorry for her necesarily, more about offering a different perspective. None of the characters are simple, all of them have a different side to them.

I think they're just trying to make Cersei's character a little more dynamic. She's not just an evil woman, she's an evil woman because that's what she thinks is best for her son. I don't think she said she had regrets, just misgivings. She'd do it all again.
Or perhaps she is just an evil woman, but she uses her son to justify her behavior to others. When she was talking to Sansa, I definitely got the feeling that she was trying to convince herself of what she was saying as much as she was trying to convince Sansa.

idk. It felt off but I did not think they're trying to alter her from the viewers point of view. Rather felt like her trying to be manipulative because that's what I thought about her earlier a lot in season 1 and in season 2 so far.

But what does he gain by pretending to have killed them? Now he needs to act as if the job was done and stop looking for them. Does not seem like a smart move to me..... unless I am missing something.
He gains:
- Respect from his men (the ones who actually think it was them) - Fear/obedience from the people of Winterfell - The people of Winterfell now know his threats are real and that they can't escape - Once his family arrives, he will gain some respect from them for killing two Stark boys - He can pretend like he didn't get bested by a boy, a crippled boy, a giant fool and a wildling woman
Also Jaime is psychotic, I don't know why so many people like him. He's pretty much just a smarter version of Joffery, who pretends to be good.
And he doesn't enjoy torturing people for lulz either. He seems like he simply doesn't give a fuck about anyone else. He really only cares about himself and how he's going to get wherever he wants to go. I can't put my finger on why, but I think he's an awesome character.
edit: I mean Jamie btw. I also like Theon, if only because he's a pretty complex character, torn between trying not to be completely evil, and gaining respect from his crew.
She's not that hot, there's about 10 women in this show hotter than her.
Maybe....but none as skanky♥♥♥♥ You know nothing orchidthief
It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A man knows.
It is known. On a more serious note : Robb said to that Volantis girl that they were going to surrender, who is surrendering to whom? Did I miss something?

Who ever hold the Crag is surrendering to Robb. They don't talk a lot about the minor military stuff but basically Robb is pushing farther west in to Lannister territory.
Had a lot more of those moments with just two characters talking to each other I loved so much from the first season. Tywin and Arya, Tyrion and Cersei...Tyrions reaction to Cersei crying was just brilliant.
And that warlock, what a badass scene, frigging hell.
Also, pretty sure it wasnt Bran and Rikkon at the end, but still pretty ruthless from Theon.

I just realised something, Daenerys must go. As long as she is alive, it will always give this "everything that happens in Westeros is meaningless"-kind of feel. If she were to go, the whole dragon plot will actually become interesting. Will the dragons roam freely without their mother? If not, who will control them? Yes, she must go. The other characters in Qarth would suddenly also become interesting.

But without her, doesn't that plotline fall? Who else will be the focus characters? Jorah and XXD?

I didn't really care for it as much as any of the others this season. Very little happened until the end, like the council being killed and jon getting surrounded.
Arya-Tywin scene wasn't as good as either of the previous Arya-Tywin scenes to me, particularly (but not only) because it loses appeal the more it occurs.
