Of course it was the old man who had brought old walnut shells of Rickons and planted them at the farm to confuse the dogs. The boys had never been there, and this Theon realised so he sent the man home to avoid further sabotage. He then burned the two farm boys to keep his face and to suppress the will to oppose him seeing as Brandon stood for some kind of hope. The surprised look on Theons face comes from the fact that even though he knows it's not Brandon hanging there, he realise it could as well have been and his affection towards the kid has been shown earlier. Sort of "What the fuck have I've gotten myself into?". I do agree with the reasoning that she is still a little girl and Tywin for now is the one keeping her safe. From this last episode it is apparent she is torn on Tywin. On one hand I think she finds some kind of fatherly substitute in him, seeing as she has just lost her own father and is pretty lost herself. On the other hand she knows who he is, and more importantly, he showed some of his true nature when he ordered villages and farms to be burned in his own land, true cruelty. I think it was the conversation with Clegane which prompted the temptation to stick a knife in his neck. Anyhow, awesome episode, can´t wait until the next one. | ||

The Jon Snow/Ygritte scenes make me cringe though. The script feels bad in these scenes, and it still bugs me that she has make-up on, instead of mud and dirty smeared on her face. The only redeeming value of those scenes is the scenery, which is truly awesome looking. | ||

During the scene it was revealed that the black guy (Xaro Xhoan Daxos) made a deal with the warlocks to help the warlocks kidnap the dragons and in exchange the warlocks would kill the 13 and make XXD the king of Qarth. I don't know when XXD made this deal, maybe if Dany had agreed to marry him then he wouldn't have betrayed her. Now the warlocks want Dany to come to their tower to try to rescue the dragons, apparently planning to trap her there and use her to nurture the dragons until they are full grown. I dunno why they can't just kidnap her and bring her to the tower, but maybe I missed something. | ||

She refused so they turned to... ...Plan B which was violence. The goal is to become lone ruler of Qarth, and by killing the rest of the 13, the black guy/the richest man in Qarth/Daxos in allegience with the wizards have no real contenders and the dragons are probably important too in some way, perhaps to get support by the people or a long term scheme to take over other countries. | ||
