So far Iron man and the Hulk are on the list for the Avengers movie. The only thing I didn't like was how hey took too much time explaining how he escaped. I understand that it's suppose to to show how creative Stark is and the cause of him wanting to become a super hero, but it just felt too drawn out to me. The CGI was top notch and had some great funny scenes. I seriously can't wait to see War Machine in action in the 2nd movie since he's my top 5 favorite super heroes. Also Roberty Downey Jr. was a perfect match since if you look at him and the comic Stark they look a lot alike.

Someone explain please? + Show Spoiler + Well basically, Tony meets up with Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage and Logistics Directorate, that agency with the long name) Fury came to Tony to talk about the "Avengers Initiative". Which I can only assume is an amalgan of the Avengers superhero team and the 50 state initiative. Basically, S.H.I.E.L.D. is looking to start a government sponsored superhero team, and has aproached Tony Stark about it.

Jackson is Nick Fury and is trying to recruit Tony Stark into the Avengers. The Avengers is pretty much a superhero team made up of heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, etc. What is crazy is that a Thor and Captain America movie is in the works. It's been said a bunch of times in this thread, but Robert Downey Jr. is going to play the role as Tony Stark again and is making a cameo in The Incredible Hulk movie, which is going out soon. So they're trying to tie in the Iron Man and Hulk movie for the Avengers. It would be insane if the Avengers movie comes out after the release of Thor and Captain America. Like after the credits of the Hulk, Thor, and Captain America there's a scene with Nick Fury like the ending with Iron Man so it sets a bridge to the Avengers film.

Funniest shit that had me cracking up was when Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) shouted to the scientist (after the scientist told him making the suit would be impossible) "TONY STARK MADE THIS IN A CAVE, OUT OF A BOX OF SCRAPS!" way too loudly and overacted. Instantly I thought it would be a cool internet meme. It was just hilarious for some reason.

I'm not as hyped up about the whole Avengers movement as some others are, but the idea of crossovers makes me giddy inside. yeah, crossovers are awesome i think it's kinda risky to hype it up now, theres a good chance it'll just end up sucking, but it could be awesome

The one part that made me crack up was the moment after all the wittily crafted lines Obadiah is dropping (like "i know what you're going through"), when he just awkwardly cries, "Shit!" after seeing the Download Complete screen. I think I may be clearly missing the point or perhaps just expecting too much, but to me, Ironman was just another generic blockbuster glorified simply for the clean execution of some minute details that should be expected from films in the first place.

We've seen way too many comic book movies of late dating back to 2002 and many of them have been complete shit, so it's refreshing to see something like this.

+ Show Spoiler + I don't mean that making the suit would be impossible or whatever, I mean that 1.) bullets should knock him over 2.) flying should make him black out 3.) it should hurt him horribly or maybe kill him every time he slams into shit oh and hey, what was with the tank shooting him out of the air. wtf, like a tank could just snipe down something the size of a man flying at supersonic speed
