Okay, so I went and read the wikia on DBS and God of Creation are the Supreme Kais. They are noticeably weaker than GoDs, but they have that power to create. I think Gohan, with his Saiyan biology and already unlimited potential to reach new heights, becomes a Zamasu-type figure in DBS through training. He goes further because of Goku and Vegeta (plus any other person/threat they happen to fight) and stands above them. I am also guessing that Grand Priest sees something and wants to train him, as he is the strongest fighter in the entire multiverse (according to the wikia). Granted, this all depends on the writers. | ||

Granted, this all depends on the writers. krillin hang there for a second too....i personally dont think we should take too much from these sparing fights, krillin, 17, 18's kick, gohan everything is too close together vs a ssblue goku that it doesnt make sense unless goku is adjusting his blue power which in that case its even more meaningless to determine strength off the match. | ||

I agree with this, Goku matching his power level to his sparring partners has been my interpretation. This is the only way the fight vs. Krillin makes sense to me. I am telling myself that Goku needs to fine tune his power control in order to maximize output while not killing his opponent as per tournament rules. | ||

The one weird caveat to this is the fact that their power isn't detectable by normal means. I'm probably going a little too far with this, but I can't help but wonder about the fact that god ki can't be detected either. 17 and 18 are not mechanical. They bleed and the lore surrounding them is that Dr. Gero used technology to improve biology rather than making a machine. Based on how superior Freeza is, I am comfortable with the idea that 17 going all out and training nonstop for like 10 years could have amazing results. | ||

I have to say, if Gohan is going to be back to being useful, now is the time. Goku made him the leader of the group. The tournament is supposed to need strategy, not just brute strength. It's been hinted that Goku and Vegeta are probably going to do something stupid because of their lack of strategic sense. If the writers can actually highlight the strategy they keep talking about instead of making it a series of one on one battles, Gohan should be in the best place to do something. | ||

17 being SSB is bullshit. Fighting normal human poachers shouldn't be that big of a boost in training. There's no way he got that strong in 10 years doing that. I think the writers just made some shit up so they could fill the roster. | ||

If that's the case, Piccolo should be able to force Goku to SSB without breaking a sweat. See how this becomes a slippery slope? | ||
