In fact it would be better if they really embraced the team tactics type battle so it will change how things usually end up. They don't need a guy significantly stronger then everyone this time. Just a bunch of guys who are threats like Jiren and Hit (plus in this format almost anyone can be a threat if all they have to do is knock you off the platform since no flying powers).

The GoDs fighting was pretty cool, if albeit short. Wish we could have had more action but I get where the animators went. I hope they get someone else to do the animation for some of the more crucial fight scenes. DBS animation really is shit. | ||

Hit had his moment so I highly doubt we'll see a ton of shots of him fighting. I am a bit interested in the other universes' fighters, mostly want to see what they can bring to the fight. Liked the gods of destruction fighting, even if it was brief. It's great that we finally got to the actual fighting next time, been a long while since we've had an all out battle  | ||

Kale is unknown because you don't know how powerful they will make the homage to Brolly character. Caulifa (at least appeared) to go SSJ2 in the episode where she deflected the blast by Kale so who knows with the U6 Sayians lol. | ||

Yeah gohan was definitely super strong in his semi-prime +mystic but the problem with him is being uncommitted to training. Theres no doubt that the god forms of vegeta or goku outclass him even back then and even now hes just way too rusty and has a ton of room to catch up. That being said gohan in that tight black suit while fighting babadis men was super bad ass | ||

Toriyama could write Gohan to achieve his potential in this arc if he wanted to, but he won't. He'll progress everyone but Gohan, and Goku will save the day in the end. Or he'll revert to the Cell ending and have Gohan save the day through Goku being an idiot and trusting everything to Gohan, once again. | ||

Anime in general is just as I said. We can pick out any anime and we get into arguments about who the best guy/girl is, who the best developed character is, and who has the best story. If they have a competent author that is. MHA and Dr. Stone are good examples of mangas having serious structure that translate amazingly to anime and is enhanced because. Bleach had something going and then died after Aizen arc. I could go on forever about this. Goku was stupid for giving Cell a senzu bean so that Gohan had to fight him at full strength. If he had left it alone or just defeated Cell, then Gohan wouldn't have lost an arm, Goku wouldn't have had to blow himself and King Kai up, etc. That was what I was referring to. His insatiable hunger for battle and fighting strong people doesn't translate to the others. If this tournament follows any part of the Cell games, it'll be Gohan having to fight Jiren because Goku wants to see his son follow in his footsteps. I also have reason to believe that person Whis was talking about, the one stronger than a GoD, is Gohan. | ||
