If the titans are as light as they said, shouldn't the giant titans not be able to move/walk around at all since his the wind would basically make him a giant sail? Why didn't humanity just make giant fans to combat them instead of cannons?
And what giant fans does? It pushes them back temporarily at best. Titans doesn't care if they are pushed back.
I think at this point it is quite certain that Titans/Titan Hybrid are created by the Humans. Conny conversation with the Titan at his home really foreshadow this and coupled with Eren,Annie,Berth,Reiner Titan power. Also, the religious organisation is already involved with the Titans somehow. Eren father is also certain to be a major factor with Titans origin.
Why Titan only aims to eat Human only and not other animal species? Why was there a wall filled with Titans there to protect the Humans? Why Annie kill so many innocent people for what?
There are still lots more question to be answered.
I really hope this manga don't succumbed to the same fate of Cage of Eden. It started out really well until the mid-end where the plot twist just become too crazy and the story link doesn't become cohesive for readers to understand. Attack to Titans could ended up in the same fate with these crazy continuous plot twist.
Really hope the next chapter can give us some serious answers.

The monkey titan was surprised humans could talk. Pretty sure it's not Eren's daddy. actually, I think you misunderstood this. He was surprised that he wasn't talking because he was pretty sure that they spoke the same language(his words). Once he was getting eaten and called out then he said, I guess he can talk.

If they were light, they should not have as much mass as they look. So I'm going to assume this is something the reader has to overlook. Kind of like how heroes can carry a ton of items in a small bag in RPG video games.
You're mistaking weight for strength. The strongest metals in the world aren't all heavy you know.

Lesser the weight, lesser the impact. In other words, just because a steel does not bend as easily as iron does not mean it will cause more damage on impact.

Yea, but you're mistaking toughness for force. There are plenty of materials out that can handle massive amounts of stress (pounds per square inch) but that cannot produce the same amount of force.
It is true that for an object to create enough force, it must be able to withstand the same amount of force. Otherwise the object would shatter, deform, break after colliding. But in order for something to produce force, it needs two things - mass and acceleration (or velocity when considering momentum).
Therefore, if you do not have mass, you must have an enormous amount of acceleration or velocity. That being said, gravity is consistent for all objects. This means that when the objects fall, they should not be creating huge craters. In fact, if their density is extremely low, certain body parts (the torso) may actually fall relatively slow due to air resistance.

Current theory:
+ Show Spoiler +experiments or something gone wrong in the past turned humans into Titans. Some of these people learned to control their titan power, but the rest of them run rampant across the world. Titan experiments continue under the church as they seek a way to control titans in order to eradicate the other titans from the world. some people know about the darker truth about the church, and may be trying to fight back (perhaps through titan form).
really sad that we won't get answers soon because their is a whole back story with royal families, eren's dad, and also annie can be locked in her rock cocoon indefinitely until the writers deem it fit for her to be relevant in the story again.
speculating further, I feel like the titans weren't around for as long as people made them out to be. there could be a coverup on the true history of titans, as they may have only appeared recently.

Remember when people were crafting theories for Lost? I really liked the purgatory one. Then it all went downhill somehow.
The fact that Marco is gone from the back cover gives me an uneasy feeling that the rest of the top ten 104th Corps (aside from Eren and Mikasa) aren't fully protected by plot armor. I hope this isn't a foreshadowing of some kind (more specifically, death to the ones who are still standing). Marco didn't have many pages or backstory devoted to him, so he'll probably be the only one though.
Plus the anime is progressing way too fast and even some of the later material were already used (flashbacks and training scenes). I think we all know how the series will turn out if this continues: bad. It won't be long before we get 10 minute prologues/recaps or entire fillers (crap) or characters (already happened) unrelated to the manga (aka Naruto/Bleach). Or the anime ends and the later volumes get compressed into a few OVAs released later (Rurouni Kenshin/Air Gear?). Worst case scenario is if the director becomes impatient and decides to do a huge "F U" to the mangaka and make up his own ending like what happened with Claymore and Soul Eater (these could be considered the worst travesties ever commited in the history of manga-anime relations. And yes, this is worse than if the anime just discontinued abruptly like Slam Dunk lol)
Best case is hoping that the series is put on hold/split into seasons with long breaks in between, until the manga progresses well down the line. But as history has shown us, that is rare and done more for light novels. Anime should always be faithful to the original creator/manga whenever possible (especially the main story), and nothing else should take precedence over that, whether they be profits, more plot holes/contradictions, or otherwise.
A damn shame too since the series started out so well. The animation, atmosphere, and score are all really well done. It could use a little more onscreen eviscerations, amputations, decapitations and the like, but I guess they had to tone down the violence if it was broadcasted on a frequently viewed channel (aka Noir, people getting shot are "implied" rather than shown, which kind of made the action sequences have less impact). But one can always hope...
I think most of us discovered this anime/manga, read every volume up until the latest chapter, and are disappointed just to have another gigantic cliffhanger slapped into our face. People are getting impatient and want answers/resolutions now, but I think we all just caught the series at a bad time. The pacing is actually pretty fast if you consider the number of volumes released. Either way, the author probably feels more pressure now to rush things since the series has become more popular. Maybe I should come back in a couple of years. I enjoy bingeing anyway, saves me the pain of the cycle of anticipation and disappointment when said anticipation goes unfulfilled with another cliffhanger, or at least decrease the frequency of it. That would require too much discipline though, bleh

LOL @ the physics debate. is this a one piece/naruto thread?
+ Show Spoiler +Anyways, the foreshadowing on the cover page was huge. So originally, some humans were from the other side of the ocean and somehow ended up on a 'new world' that has walls already built (OR NOT?). Somehow there was a war, social issues involving politics and race that ultimately lead to this scenario.
Of course, there are those who originally occupied the land inside the walls before the other race's arrival eh? Surely whoever won the civil war amongst the humans 100 years prior to the story are the same ones who are occupying the walls at the moment. So many mysteries lol. Eren's father was definitely up to something. My theory is the ones who arrived first at the new world were the ones originally in possession of Titan technology. Since titans resemble humans, it's only logical that humans invented them. I guess why they existed is because they were weapons for the war between humans 100 years ago. Locals who owned that land back then (mikasa's asian race) were mass murdered by the foreigners in possession of titan powers (blonde people lolll). Somehow some of their weapons went wild and they were forced to wall up.
Fast forward to present time, some radical of noble blood goes batshit crazy and proceeds to execute his plan to erase humans. Probably Eren's father's "boss"
Also am disappointed as to why there's only 46 chapters! The reading only lasted for eight hours! T^T

I think some episodes might suffer slightly if they need to stretch the material, but I don't think it'll be that bad. my personal prediction is that they'll get up to around when annie/female-type gets captured so they can end on a 'good' note... though knowing this series they might end on despair.
point being - stay calm and enjoy the ride.

They started this week, from their fb:
"Since practically all of our staff recently got hooked on the anime, we decided to pick up the manga. Check it out if you haven't heard of it yet, mangastream-sama recommends it.
Attack on Titan (also known as Shingeki no Kyojin) 46 is out."
good for us, mangastream does a lot better with translations than other sites.

Yeah best thing they could do is to make a season 1 and have the anime on hold until more manga chapters are being made. Kind of how they did with Hajime no Ippo - New Challanger.
Though the wait will be painful and long for a new season after the first one I think it would be best idea.
Have a break and make some quality release later that stays true to the manga instead of making some own ending or have some useless fillers.
