Yarg, another thing I disliked was
+ Show Spoiler +got rid of Tarrlok right after they found out everything about him. The flashback was hinted at for 8 episodes and once she finally understands what it means, it doesn't really matter and Tarrlok is taken out by Amon. He might make a return later on but I don't see how he'll be much of a threat without his bending.I wonder who's going to replace Tarrlok on the council too btw.

Alright, alright go with me here for a minute...
Amon is a cyborg.
Also, I'll be really, really, really sad if Korra ends up with Mako, how fucking obvious of them... Seriously, Bolin needs to rally for Korra's luuurvvvv. T_T
But yeah, roll that around in your head! Amon might be a cyborg.

everybody knows Asami is Amon ( I dont like these silly " what if ..." games btw )

Tarrlok stopped being an impressive villain the minute that he was just another grab power and take over the city type villains.
In fact he stopped being impressive the minute he became a villain.
Good riddance.

okay I'm trying my best not to read any spoilers here, since the ep is obviously out. Could someone link a source that is not the nick site? Since I'm not in the US this is my only way to watch this show.

I disagree, + Show Spoiler +or at least i think he stopped being an impressive villain later rather than that.
After the last episode, i really thought we were going to have 2 villains. Amon, representing the revolution. Tarlock, representing the government going too far. Then Korra the Avatar would restore balance between the revolutionists and the over reaching government.
While that may be true, in a since still. Tarlock's run was too short to consider him to be on par with Amon.

Ya I think this episode really solidified it for me to some extent.... I mean how did amon and his chi blockers find tarlock so quickly in the middle of nowhere? They had to have had some prior knowledge on him. Additionally, Asami and Amon have never been seen together... it would make pretty good sense. But then again...could be wrong...

I guess this last episode kind of stops the arguing of a weaker level of bending, especially the preview of the next one :D

But it makes the character really interesting, since he's not the crazy terrorist we think he is when he's first introduced!

As someone said already Amon really has to either be a blood bender himself or something entirely unknown to the story. He's not a spirit, that would make no sense at all.Spirits don't act that way and would not punish benders in the form of "a savior". If they really wanted to get rid of benders they'd just use their spirit blah blah to diminish their sources or just somehow remove it for good from them.
This was also yet another episode in which I was 100% sure Korra would go into the Avatar state and do something but I guess they're keeping it for the big finale when Amon tries to take her bending away. (It's in the preview, she just closes screams and closes her eyes when his hand is on her forehead => she goes into the avatar state. I'm certain of it because every time Aang or Roku or Kyoshi or any other avatar has done it they have closed their eyes and then opened them white.)
As for Tarrlock I really feel showing his entire story like that wasn't for nothing. It would make sense that if Yakone was such a strong blood bender he taught it to someone else other than his son and that someone else found a way to stop bending with it. (Makes sense given that Tarrlock just made them all pass out in a pinch.) Tarrlock is definitely not aware of that since he looked so surprised when Amon didn't squirm like the rest. That's my theory at least.
I don't think Asami's Amon. It would be convenient that they've never met but why on earth would she put up with Mako's bullshit for so long? And how would you explain the fact that she can take bending away. That's no easy task, only Aang could do it and I doubt the Lion Turtle would teach someone who lusts revenge so badly. (I recall the Lion Turtle knew who Aang was and what he was about to do somehow.)
Really looking forward next week's two episodes.
P.S. : There's an HD torrent on The Pirate Bay for those who were unable to watch it live like myself.
