The episode elevated rather quickly. I guess I'm left wondering why Amon can resist bloodbending. Also how Tarlocke can even be Yakonne's son given the age difference. But then again, TLA didn't need these theatrical tricks. They left Toph undeveloped from the swamp episode for a while. I guess I'm trying to say these plot twists are nice things people learn from writing school, but they feel forced.

(It's in the preview, she just closes screams and closes her eyes when his hand is on her forehead => she goes into the avatar state. I'm certain of it because every time Aang or Roku or Kyoshi or any other avatar has done it they have closed their eyes and then opened them white.) When Aang went into the avatar state originally, it was due to heightened emotional turmoil and/or when his life was threatened (or the Spirit World lashing out at the material world when the Moon spirit was briefly killed). It took him learning about the 7 chakra/chi points before he was able to enter it at will. I suspect this is what will happen for the end when Amon goes to take her bending away; she goes Avatar state, blows off his mask for the big reveal, and then the two are forced to retreat for some reason, probably with Amon under control of Republic City. She has to go on the run w/ the other people to do a bit of world travelling and training w/ Tenzen before going back to re-capture the city.

Pure concentration and mastery over your bending turns into an absolute control over it to the point where you don't need to do the typical forms needed to exercise your elemental control. Just like how the avatar can just straight up fly in a sphere of air without moving any part of his body ala TLA's Finale, only doing it with lesser seen bending powers. Called it.

The next 3 episodes will involve Amon successfully taking over Republic City while The New Team Avatar evacuates outside to prepare during the next season where Amon sorts out a plan for nonbenders to invade places throughout the entire Avatar World

If Madagascar declares war on the world it will get wiped out before it can even close its ports. Well, for one its a pretty important symbolic victory that could easily spur further revolutions.

Would have loved to see tarrlok vs amon being longer though... you know, a little fighting at least. Oh well. I like how they made Amon at least slow down, so he doesn't look ridiculously OP. Wow, amon is beastly. Tenzin is pretty funny. OMG, 1 hour season finale already? Holy shit lol. Wait so first season is 11 episodes not 12?

Wait so first season is 11 episodes not 12? Well i took it to mean, that episode 10 would be next sat, where as 11 and 12 will be played together the sat after that. I could be wrong. Though if its 12 episodes that's the only time frame that works out.

But he would still have blood in him, so i don't think that is likely... he is probably just an energybender or something.

I really like the cyborg theory, it explains why blood bending would have a diminished effect on Amon, since he'd have mechanical parts as well as biological parts. It also works to make him a further extension of the Equalist movement's equalization with benders through technology. It fits further if his initial story about him being maimed by a fire bender is true, where the mechanical parts might have been necessary for him to function.

Some filler would be nice though, I guess I finally realise what purpose filler has in a show. It's going a little bit too fast without it.
