Or can you be a dick and go triple earth for the constant spam. Assuming they follow Kespa, I would think that anything but having more than one Fire would be allowed. Also why dont the waterbenders seem to make ice anymore ? Some nice Iceballs seem to be way thougher to handle for your opponents. Considering how dangerous bending battles can potentially be, I'm guessing they have a shit ton of rules in place. They mentioned that Korra would only be allowed to bend one element, I'm guessing you can't just stack a group full of one element either. Also, I'm guessing lightning, ice and other dangerous variants of each elements bending aren't allowed. Though something like lightning would probably be out of reach for like 99.5% of the firebenders in the show anyway. So water bending has the dangerous variants of Ice and Blood. Earth bending has the dangerous version of metal bending. Fire bending has lightning. Air bending has..... levitation?!?!?

Airbenders are generally considered pacifists so it would make sense that they not have an offensive sub-skill, or at least none has been revealed yet.
Firebending has lightning and lightning redirection. Earthbending has seismic sense and metalbending. Waterbending has healing and ice.

First "season" was so amazing. Can't wait for this one.
Should be pretty easy to kill someone as an airbender though : P If waterbenders can learn to bend blood, airbenders should be able to bend all the air out of your lungs.

Air has some semi-flight/levitation and speed-up/super speed. At least I seem to recall Aang running super fast at times

And Aang invented air scooters iirc, just like Toph invented metal-bending, Iroh invented lightning redirection, and the puppetmaster invented blood-bending.

I wonder why they couldn't let aang create an ongoing tornado, too op(Or did I miss the episode)? Yeah right, say that when people can shoot others with lightning and control blood.
Maybe their special trait is that they get a flying bison.

Would an airbender be able to create vacuums? Because I would know situations where a vacuum is extremely potent.

I would think that air benders would have the ability to control the air in peoples blood or lungs to kill them.

Eh, he would still get outmaneuvered by Azula so it's not like it was a massive augmentation. Also, various other master level benders were seen using the elements to increase their mobility or allow for types of flight. The firelord was seen flying using firebending to effectively have jet boosters, Azula was seen doing this to a lesser degree as well. Bumi was seen moving a small squad of the leaders of the White Lotus around on a massive slab of rock at very high speeds.
So those power ups for air aren't that incredible.

Lightning and Blood bending were both recent developments. Military use of bending has only been necessary in the past 170-200ish years(Sozin starting the war), and the monks probably didn't develop combat techniques for no reason, so it stands to reason that no one really spent much time figuring out combat air bending ever.
Woah, such a good point. This seems like it would be fairly obvious but I never even thought of it.

I just started watching and the animations seem to have really low framerates to me. Is this just the version I downloaded or is it the series itself?

IIRC there are tornados spiraling around aang in the final ep

I think it's what you downloaded?

What element do you think would be the most fun to have the ability to bend?
