Episode 2 was really good. I thought they might just be going down the 'lost country girl in the city' route but the whole pro bending thing was sick.

Air or whatever, both are (semi)ubiquitous, so you would never be in need and while you can produce fire, i like the maneuverability that air offers and the creation that water offers(ice)

and yea, @alhazrel, the pro bending games route was really cool, i wasn't sure if i'd like it after the first ep but the 2nd was so good.

I'd probably pick Fire. I'd love to be able to mess with the ability to produce lightning. Also, firebenders can produce their element without an outside source which would be pretty badass.

Fire is the best bending ability, because if you're good you can fly like Ozai and Azula.

The only problem with watching the 2 episodes now is that you have to wait a month for a new episode.

Just watched the 2nd episode. It is so good. I'm so hooked on legend of korra lol. I love the fact that it seems that the style of bending is more modernized now. For example Bolin and Mako bend using boxing stances so it seems that the old styles are either out dated or just doesn't work in pro-bending. This was seen when Korra started to use earthbending with the traditional solidly rooted stance and the brothers mentioned how in pro-bending, a stance like that would make you a standing target. But the whole thing isn't just about how new has overtaken old, because Korra uses the training she learned from traditional airbending. which eventually allows the team to win. Looking so forward to the next episodes! Also the soundtrack is just sick. The main theme makes me almost cry when I hear it. + Show Spoiler +

I just finished watching the first two episodes, and so far am pretty impressed. I was worried that it wouldnt stand up to the original, but its soooo gooood.

I'm still bummed the original airbender series didn't come out earlier. I would have loved it even more back in middle school or something.

I rewatched the episode. They never showed the moon in the episode so we can either assume the creators forgot that you can only bloodbend during a full moon or its implied that it was a full moon. I'm just going to guess its the latter because it was night and if you noticed her waterbending seemed a lot stronger than usual which I guess is also because of her emotions during that moment.

He was talking about the person she thought was the one who killed her mom not the actual guy who did. With the guy who did kill her mother she was about to kill him with ice shards but she just couldn't, no one stopped her. Aang wasn't with her only Zuko was and he didn't do anything.
