Specifically fire bending feels completely neutered to the point where it isn't even scary at all. Everything is just earth bending and some air bending which is a bit sad after all the badass fire benders we had in TLA. I guess the overall quality of benders in Korra isn't the same as TLA as we had people that were some of the best benders ever to live.
Wouldn't Noatak be one of the most powerful waterbenders to live? Zaheer certainly one of the most powerful airbenders, and theres Toph! Definitely the greatest Earthbender.
Though I admit firebending has felt weak, but damn has Earthbending become totally badass compared to TLAB, I mean LAVABENDING, now thats some badass bending.
zaheer was pretty obviously a terrible airbender, just an amazing philosopher
you can go back and watch tenzin kick his ass all day
That was before he gained what I have to consider Airbending's special thing, flight, hes definitely one of the most fearsome airbenders to live, he did what no airbender has done for what was it, a thousand years? Sure Tenzin beat him up, but Tenzin is also a high class airbending master, and Zaheer hadn't even ascended to his flight-stage.

Yeah me too. She just looked like the evil daughter right from the start, almost like an archetype of evil princess that tries to bring the male lead to the dark side. I was totally expecting her to backstab Korra in season 1.
@Seasons: For me it's 3>>4>1>>>>>>>>>>2 One looses to four for me only because that terrible love triangle had way more showtime than the terrible robot. One was overall more cliché as well, even though Amon was pretty cool. That being said I like every villain except for Un'alag. Overall I really liked four except for the robot.
@Korrasami: Didnt see it coming. They had some moments before that could have been interpreted as gay, but I just thought of them as really good friends. That being said I agree that it was the most natural pairing and while I expected nobody to end up with anyone (I wasnt even sure if Varrik loved Julie) they created more of a happy end the way it is now.
So, will the earth kingdom descend into chaos after kuvira's defeat? After all, they have a large standing army with nothing better to do and now the main alternative to power has refused the position.

I think in real life, it would end up being something along the lines of what happened after Napoleon's exile: if Kuvira were to ever come back, most of the military/ex-military would instantly side with her. Even after everything that happened, they seemed quite loyal to her.
Thinking a bit more about it Korra probably shouldn't have peaced out and instead should have gone with the republic city army to maintain order in the Earth kingdom until elections could be held and stability re-established. I guess Tenzin+airbenders could do that for her while she and Asami get their freak on.

One might suppose that the chaos in the form of bandits and overall lawlessness has already been contained, so local leaders would be able to step up and take power. I imagine this means that the Earth Kingdom as a single entity is no more, so at best it would now be an Earth Confederacy or at worst many independent Earth States.
There would absolutely, definitely be strong resentment from RC army troops coming to the Earth Nation. Foreign occupation and all.
If both Korra and Kuvira are out of the picture, things are certainly going to descend into chaos quickly. Wu isn't a particularly good politician and he knows that as well as anyone.

I guess it depends on how Kuvira set up her power structure. They didn't really go into it very much so it's left to our imagination. Based on what we saw in the first few episodes though it looks like the local leaders got to keep their posts but is Kuvira's army going to listen to them?

Well looks like this thread will die out now that the show is over, quite sad. Let's bring it up at least for a bit. There are quite a few good AMVs out there, especially new ones that include book 4. I even made one myself, something i dont usually do!
Not completely satisfied with it so im open for suggestions.

I'm not ready for this thread to end yet either. What a great show.
I'm not a huge fan of AMV's, but yours is pretty good. One pet peeve of mine is when dialog parts are included with characters silently mouthing to each other while the music plays. You did a good job of minimizing that, but, IMHO, if you figure out a way to get rid of them altogether, it might look a bit more professional.
It wasn't hard to spot the omission of anything from the last two minutes of the show. Maybe you did this because you wanted to focus on the battles, or (forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn here) maybe you're not comfortable with the way the show ended, or you think others viewing your video wouldn't be. I could see the logic in any of these arguments, but I'd suggest that this video, and the show, are about overcoming adversity, realizing one's power, exercising empathy towards others and achieving balance. I think that the way the show ended is linked to that, and a brief shot from those last two minutes wouldn't be out of place. Just my opinion.

That's honestly not a very good choice of music for the video. I'd recommend the following:
