It's not so much his actions but rather that it's been telegraphed so hard and so quickly without any mystery that makes it seem like he's not going to be the main problem for the whole season. Some quick disillusionment from korra in 1-3 more episodes leading to conflict and some resolution with Unalaq leading them to the bigger threat seems like the obvious route. Generally when a villain is revealed though dramatic irony so hard so quickly it's because his mischievous actions are seen separately instead of just heavy use of mood and coincidence. So either Unalaq is a lesser evil meant to point us to the main cause or it's all misinterpretation the only problem with misinterpretation is that the shit ends with his practically invading the south water tribe.I think it's pretty obvious korra's uncle is a misguided villain, I mean, come on, he's invading the south at the end of the second episode, it could not be more obvious. I'm also pretty sure he's not the main one and might end up fighting on korra's side by the climax of the season, the setup just isn't right for him to be the biggest threat going forward. If it's just korra vs unalaq she trashes him and that's it. The big threat will probably be someone or something in the spirit world - could be ko, or the evil manipulating spirit of the first avatar, or someone we don't know about - but probably there's someone pulling the threads out there.

Yeah, blood bending was fun and Amon was charismatic villian. New villians may suck if expect the same quality.

I just hope Korra's uncle isnt the main villian in this arc. I dont like it, if everything is to obvious from the beginning.

Such a pity they forced that into a 12 episode run. The show did well but could have been even better with a little more freedom. Tighter narrative is fine but Amon had a lot more juice to offer. I like the avatar series because it tends to not cheap out on more adult decisions like star wars the clone wars. I hope they keep a soft level of sophistication.

I don't disagree, the phrase "I hope" was put there for a reason.

The Last Airbender as in the movie? I mean, I didn't like Korra much, but that almost seems too harsh, haha. Pretty sure I'm just going to wait until the season finishes and then I'll watch. Gonna just wait for the hype train to end.

Still far from the original series, but as an opening, it wasn't bad. The thing is, for a lot of Korra's episodes, I feel like the show needs 5 more minutes. So many endings are rushed, the second episode's ending isn't an exception. I was like, how is this supposed to finish in 5 minutes only. And thus the part with the spirits was disappointingly resolved. The first series were all about the elements, I think this one is about Korra's growth. The first one as a child, the second as a teen, and I'm kinda lost since there will be 4 books, but at the end she'll mature as a complete adult avatar. And unrelated, I like the twins, poor Bolin.
