He will be voiced by the guy who plays as Glen in the Walking Dead TV show. http://www.wired.com/underwire/2013/07/walking-dead-legend-korra-steven-yeun/ I guess this confirms that the first avatar is Korean. Koreans OP :D

How many episodes are there in the first season, and is it worth it? I don't know why I ask that (lol, I'm sure it will be at least okay), but I sure would love and respect some ATLA fan opinions on this. Also, how many flashbacks are there to ATLA.

The fight scenes are still great though they do not reach the same proportions as Airbender's finale. The way the Equalist fight is interesting since they use technology and martial arts as all of them are non-benders. The series mainly takes place in Republic City so there aren't as many grand environments, but the city is still has its own unique style. Probending is an interesting sport that makes sense in the world of Avatar. It's a bending sport that focuses on pushing the enemy team off the ring, but the bending is limited to small bursts making the sport more about technique, precision and speed rather than raw power making it an entirely new style of bending. There are no flash backs to Airbender that explain things like how does Aang die, who married whom or what happened to Zuko's mother. Though Aang supposedly died because the time in glacier caught up to him, but other characters are dead in Korra even though they could still be alive simply because of old age presumably. The flash backs in Korra do show Airbender characters, but it's to explain the plot of Korra rather than to answer questions from Airbender or to fill in gaps between the series. The fate of Zuko's mother is being explained in the comic "The Search" which is still ongoing and is on part 2 of 3. Korra has characters that are descendents of Airbender characters notably Tenzin the son of Aang/Katara and Toph's daughter. Though if you're a fan of Airbender you should definitely watch Korra since it's a good series and this next season there will be more background lore like showing the first Avatar.

I don't know why I ask that (lol, I'm sure it will be at least okay), but I sure would love and respect some ATLA fan opinions on this. Also, how many flashbacks are there to ATLA. There are twelve episodes in the first season. I agree with most of what BlackMagister said. The general consensus seems to be that Korra season 1 lacked a lot of the character development/growth which made ATLA so good, since the creators thought they were only being signed for one season; hopefully we get more development over the next three. However, the animation, music, and fight scenes are better than most of their counterparts in ATLA. (Of course, the ATLA finale was on a whole different level, so I'm leaving that out.) Maybe it's due to the lack of development, but I don't like a lot of the Korra characters as much as the ATLA characters... I'm hoping that'll at least partially change sometime soon though Toph's daughter is as badass as her mom though, so that's good ![]() There's one major flashback sequence to an older Aang/Toph/Sokka in season 1. It's pretty good ![]()

Toph's daughter badass? To be expected, I think I'm going to go with it XD. I should be just in time for season two! Hoooly crap this is already awesome. The art and production is AMAZING! And I love the more serious tone. Honestly even if the final story isn't as epic, this is going down as a much watch for me WTF was I doing.

(Of course, the ATLA finale was on a whole different level, so I'm leaving that out.) I wouldn't be afraid to rank korra above the ATLA finale on those metrics. It has maybe the best fight choreography I've ever seen and the production values are just unmatched. They just need to give more room to character interactions.

LOK has the potential to be better than TLA if they can fix the pacing, add a little more backstory and even filler, and stop with the iffy romance. No. The whole modern setting (which we are in) is uninteresting, the main character is extremely unlikeable (not hard-working, doesn't think, and just complains), the whole female main character having romance with a male character is something I don't enjoy watching (as a guy), and the characters and villains suck (Amond) was the only bad guy that had potential and he died off. In TLA, every character was interesting in their own way, and didn't spend 1/3 of the show on a random bending sport no one cares about.
