I lost all respect for this blog after the author used Fluttershy as an avatar of self righteousness to protest against Molestia.
Feels weird to me that you can lose respect for someone for doing what he can to stand up for what he thinks is right. But maybe you're right and I should stop looking at art drawn by people who spoke out against ponies who rape other ponies.
I didn't lose respect because of what they stated or the message, it was the way they presented their message.

He felt the message was important enough to present it in the most effective way possible, which is the medium of art, not text. Really, the only difference between the author making Fluttershy lesbian and the author making Fluttershy anti-Molestia is that you agree with one of those things but not the other.
I got so mad thinking about this while lying down that I actually got out of bed to make this post. The lack of respect on both sides of the Molestia issue actually disgusts me. The anti-Molestia people were painting JJ as sub-human, especially when he made that one comic parodying the issue, and the defensive, angry reaction from bronies in general in defense of the blog outstripped any mass movement in the fandom in terms of vitriol, by far. It's a case of misplaced priorities when an attack on a fucking webcomic creates the greatest amount of moral outrage on the part of the fandom. Your post about the loss of respect for the blog is an extension of this. If I were to post Crookedtrees art, you'd never say that you lost all respect for the artist because he depicted Pinkie Pie raping/killing other ponies, I assume. You'd never say that you lost all respect for JJ for drawing Molestia or porn or w/e. Artistic freedom, tolerance and all that. But apparently the ideas of artistic freedom and tolerance stop at the fucking door when someone criticizes a webcomic you like. Apparently it's time to lose respect for an author when he tries to do what's right in the best way he knows how. And apparently it's important that you let the rest of us know why you don't like the artist/blog so that we can enjoy the artwork a little less.

Actually, according to statistics (I'll avoid specifics for post content reasons), Pokemon is #1 and MLP is #2. Touhou used to be #2 until recently. Some guy on Fimfic has been posting large research blog posts about this sort of thing for a couple years.
I'm wondering if that's actually true; when you consider the sheer volume of Harry Potter stories compared to literally every other fandom out there, wouldn't Harry Potter be up there, even if Pokemon/MLP have a larger percentage of porn stories overall?

I just checked paheal.net tags (for scientific purposes) and it's just one example but it does line up with that.

That's the main source the guy I'm alluding to quoted.
Okay this thread got really weird. Could we move back to on topic things like how great the show is, and how it has good values and is interesting artwork instead of talking about how pissy people are that some dude had an opinion or how other people have nothing better to do than pervert the show?
To make things a little less moist how about an interesting factoid that maybe not everybody will know
Brian Drummond the voice of Mr. Cake (and recently Seabreeze!) is also the guy who voiced Vegeta in the English dub for DBZ including the famous Vegeta line "It's over 9000!"
