Not getting much sleep tonight. ^^
yea once you start a good drama thats already has all the episodes... you cant stop watching haha. yeah my gf is a gumiho is very good
I started watching MGIAG as well and got stuck @ episode 13ish because the sub were not working at viiki so i hat to download it somewhere but was interested in Iris and watched the pilot.
Lol the result is that I watched the entire series in the past 3 days, such an awesome drama but I was kinda surprised that TOP hat such a minor role in their and was basically just killing stuff opposed to actually acting/saying somtething :D GUess you guys were right and the producers only used him as (maincast) to attract more viewship. Nevertheless the drama was amazing and I enjoyed the three mainactors playing Hyuu jun, Seung Hee and Sa Woo... I'm about to rewatch G.I. Joe to see how Lee Byung hun's acting was bc I didn't really pay attention to it when i first watched it:D
Next up is also Athena Goddess Of war and at the end of the year Iris 2 is supposed to cme out right? unfortunately without Byung hun and Kim tae hee
And My girlfriend is a gumiho is also incredible btw^^ Shin minha is only second to Park Min young btw when it comes to cuteness/korean actresses
Bad Guy was pretty decent for a korean drama. Atleast up to the last two episodes. Would definately recommend if you are a dude that secretly likes to spontaniously scream like little schoolgirls.
Out of pure boredom the other day I decided to watch that Shining Inheritance. It was urm ok- I guess. Unseemly evil stepmother, braindead characters who can't put 1+1 together and the usual stuff that makes koreans watch these kind of shows. Only kept watching it past the first episode cos one of the main characters looked like a slightly older SlayerS_MMA. To my surprise there was a shower scene pretty similar to the one in Birdie Buddy with that rhasta guy.
ok, so I watched the entirety of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho in ~36 hours. And holy shit was it good. (I do feel like I consumed it too quickly though, or I just want more episodes because I like the characters so much, not really sure :/ )
I really like how characters and the stories are developed, it's not so black and white. And the writing is good so you actually care about the characters. The main draw is, because you care about the characters, and the story is so well written, you constantly want to find out what happens in the next episode. Also the main guy looks like jdong, soooo~
The thing that worries me the most, is that I thought this show was like amazingly entertaining. But this show isn't even in the top5 2010 shows on lists that I was just randomly googling! That worries me a bit, like, can these shows get even better? o_o I want to put off watching another series and finding out, but I don't think I'll be able to help it...

SlayerS_MMA?? Birdie Buddy rhasta guy? Your references are all lost on me >< Shining Inheritance has quite a bit of fan-service. Which is AWESOME since the lead actress is Han Hyo Joo :D:D I find it to be one of the better "cliche plot" romantic Korean dramas. Maybe they just won me over with the fan-service...

ahahaha... Well if you liked the style of My Girlfriend is Gumiho, then I suggest just watching dramas that have the script/plot written by the same people~ My Girl, Hong Gil Dong, You're Beautiful (Not as fun in my opinion), etc... just find out their names (they're the Hong Sisters) and watch their dramas~
Not everyone has the same tastes... Some people in Korea find the Hong Sisters' dramas to be too childish, and I understand their opinions... But I love their dramas so~ much~
Just finished personal taste with LMH its pretty funny and the story is better than most of the dramas that I watched so far. it doesnt get boring in the later episodes like others.
Has anyone found sub for the drama " little k girl" or " girl k" yet? its only a 3 episode long drama but looks very promising judging from a few pictures i saw, lol i guess it was in the music discussion thread
So I just finished my second kdrama, and I continued with the hong sisters. I watched "The Greatest Love".
This one I didn't like as much because I didn't really feel like I could personally connect with the characters, only really because they were 'older'. In gumiho they were playing college age characters, even if the actors were older. But it was still enjoyable, but definitely not as good as Gumiho. (shin min ah is so damn cute omggg)
So I'm going to go with the OP's list and start Secret Garden. But I think I want to watch another with either shin min ah or lee seung ki. Are any of their other stuff entertaining?
edit: just watched first episode of secret garden, my mind is exploding already holy shit

shining inheritance has lee seung ki in it . op list it as one of his list also.
A drama that I haven't seen anyony talk about in here is Midas, which I just finished recently.
My thoughts: -I would reccommend it, but with a few caveats. -It kept my entertained the whole way through, with only a few dry spells. -There's some action, but not as much as City Hunter, which should be obvious when you consider the plot. -The female lead is super adorable yet again. Male lead looks like a mafioso. -There is some crying in it, and I remember getting annoyed with the crying at least once. -I'd only reccommend it if you have a business oriented, methodical, calculating mindset. (Basically, if you like math) The plot is sometimes hard to follow, and I can see how it can get boring for another person.

I r sad.
I'm actually more sad about Lee Byung-hun not being in there, he was a freaking badass. Looking forward to IRIS 2, the first one was good except for + Show Spoiler +
Kim Tae Hee magically related to IRIS and Baek san at the end, and the terrible ending
u guys missing Fantasy Couple, Full House, 49 Days, Baker King Kim Tak Goo, Personal Taste, Prosecutor Princess, Swallow the Sun, Temptation of an Angel, That Fool
lmao you know i predicted iris ending. i was like this would be funny if this happen and im like omg wtf when it happened. hated the ending by the way.
This is the story of two women, Seo Jung Eun and Han Yoo Kyung, who walk very different paths to achieve their desires. Seo Jung Eun is a strong and courageous woman who has suffered a difficult life, having grown up in an orphanage, but continues to embrace people around her despite longing for affection herself. Jung Eun harbours the hope that she will meet her mother if she becomes a star, striving to reach her goal and overcome her suffering with her pure and innocent nature. In contrast, Han Yoo Kyung has a birth secret for which she is willing to throw away everything in order to get revenge. The "thorn birds" of the title refers to Jung Eun's character, who only brings out her best at the cost of great pain. A thorn bird is a mythical bird who searches for a thorn tree from the day it is born. When it finds it, the bird impales itself upon the sharpest thorn, and rises above the agony to sing the most beautiful song ever heard.
Second one has been mentioned (only) twice already. Dae Jang Geum(DramaWiki page contains major spoilers)
Beautiful historical drama, a couple years old. If you skip this because the image quality is inferior to newer series, then you are an idiot, and deserve nothing less than to miss this great series. 54 episodes.
Jang-geum (played by Lee Young-ae) is the daughter of Seo Cheon-su (played by Park Chan-hwan), a former judicial officer-turned butcher (the lowest social class) who lives in hiding after being expelled from the royal palace, and Madame Park (played by Kim Hye-seon), a former court lady working in the royal kitchen who narrowly escaped death following a murderous conspiracy planned by Court Lady Choi. As a young child, Jang-geum loses both parents and enters the royal palace in the kitchen.
Every synopsis I could find contained major spoilers, so I'd caution anyone against looking up too much about this series. It is a series about the life of a historical figure, from childhood to adulthood, and her struggles as she strives to fulfill her mothers dying wish. It stars Lee Young-ae who stars in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, among other things.
Thirdly, I would recommend Jumong. (DramaWiki page contains major spoilers)
The series I am currently watching. After a slow start, I am starting to love this series. It is much more action oriented than the other shows mentioned. 81 episodes.
Jumong was the son of General Hae Mo Su and Lady Yoo Hwa, and was raised by King Geum Wa who took him and his mother in when Hae Mo Su was believed to have been killed in an ambush by the Han Dynasty.
Like Dae Jang Geum, this series is about a historical figure, so most synopsis contains major spoilers. Careful about looking it up if you do not want to be spoiled at all.
Objectively speaking, this is pretty bad, particularly when compared to the other two I mentioned. It is a 178 episode long romcom, and is very slow at times. I would only recommend this series for the specially interested. I was interested in it in the first place because it stars Yoona of SNSD fame. But it was much better than Cinderella Man in my opinion.
Jang Sae Byuk is a a girl who tries to find a new meaning in life after she receives an eye cornea transplant from the doctor that took care of her after her accident. That doctor, Kim Na Young, died in a car accident on her way back from Africa. Sae Byuk becomes close with the Na Young's family after finding them. The family slowly accepts her as part of the family. Kang Ho Se and Kim Tae Poong, Na Young's twin brother, have disliked each other since they were young kids. This is mostly Tae Poong hates Ho Se because Ho Se's family was rich and because Tae Poong's father was Ho Se's father's driver and his mother was the maid.
What all these shows have in common is protagonists who suffer alot, but persevere. That is a theme I love. Not very uncommon in kdrama, but particularly evident in these shows.
