+ Show Spoiler +That final scene. Are you kidding me? Nana and Yunsong stare into each other's eyes, and THATS IT? It was such a promising relationship, developing nicely around the middle episodes. Then towards the ending, we practically don't see any of Nana together with Yunsong, after all that character development and relationship building. Totally leaves you unsatisfied, like some striptease that has the ending cut off.
+ Show Spoiler +Yeah, definitely unsatisfying. Yoon Sung told Nana that he would be with her after the whole revenge plot was over and, after it is, we're just left with that "stare into each other's eyes" scene. Furthermore, at the very last scene, Yoon Sung is driving in his car ALONE (no Nana). Am I just looking a little too much into it or does that tell us that they didn't end up being together at all? Nonetheless though, I overall enjoyed it very much.
For those of you who've seen City Hunter, you should check out A Man Called God. The plot is pretty similar and has a fair amount of action and romance.

Currently watching Heartstrings with a special someone. Nice that it has English subtitles. It's a really good show, and I'm not one to watch shows.
What kills me though is seeing the MBC overlay because it reminds me that the MSL may get shut down T_T.

+ Show Spoiler +I get what they were going for with the ending with him driving off, but it was just poorly executed and not set up right imo. They were just trying to have one of the those scenes where he drives off looking badass rolling into the credits, but they really needed to set up the scene better.
As for the ending, I feel like it was so shitty cuz they only had a one hour block to work with. I feel like they need at least 1 or maybe even 2 more episodes to end the show correctly. However, given the 20 episode constraint we got left with a rushed and unsatisfactory ending.
As for A Man Called God, I'm probably going to be watching that just for Han Chae Young ^_^. She was great in Delightful Girl Choon Hyang.

But... There is no Park Min Young, eh?

But... There is no Park Min Young, eh? Yeah... but Han Chae Young is pretty good too, though doesn't come anywhere close to Park Min Young imo

Honestly, unless you are writing a decent review, no one cares about the dramas you've watched before. With enough people watching at least the popular dramas, I'm sure we can get a discussion going. City hunter spoiler/ending:
+ Show Spoiler +Agree, especially because the drama sets it up like they'll be together when it's over. Makes it seem really weird therefore that you don't see them in a relationship at the end, since there's nothing stopping them- Jin Pyo, who previously hinted at making sure that Yunsung wouldn't have a normal life for one reason or another, is dead, and no one else knows/cares that he's the City Hunter. He clearly has feelings for her yet doesn't get with her in the end? Makes no sense.

Maybe it was left open-ended intentionally, to leave space for a SEQUEL! More Park Min Young :D :D

I throughly enjoyed My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I felt like there was no downtime at all. The pace was fast throughout the drama. I didn't care that there are idols acting in it. I think what made it enjoyable was the relatively short length and the plot that ties in the things you see in ep1 to the ending, making every detail important.

Fell off 6 or so episodes in. Plot wasn't really going anywhere and I really disliked the acting of the main dude. Shin min ah cute though.

Hi guys this is probably the most likely thread I'm gonna get an answer from, but just out of curiosity what phone do they use in 49 Days? I thought it was Samsung GS2 but it's different.
|
Anyone else think that the product placements in dramas nowadays are beyond ridiculous? In City Hunter there was an iProduct on screen about 80% of the time and that's not even exaggerated. I facepalmed when he started wiretapping and hacking computers with his iPad. Haha or that one scene when he starts his video chat and the OLLEH logo shows for 5 sec super huge on the screen, had to lolirl.
Not only iStuff though, the galaxy s2/tab placement is ridiculous, too.

It's the Galaxy S Hoppin (only available in South Korea).

Currently watching Birdie Buddy somewhat, wouldn't reccommend it unless you are a huge fan of Uee(girl can't act but thats not what you are looking for) plus those huge eyes suck out your soul.
Yoo In Na is good but she has a minor role
Plus the guy in dreadlocks is just wtf.
ill prolly finish it skipping for Yoo In Na parts but its not really that good so far.
I am also watching Protect the boss, the female main lead is a tad old and not your typical qtpie but that is actually what makes it kind of interesting, definently reccomend it, its got good humor too.
And despite all of the actor/actress drama IRL, I really like Myungwol the SPy.

im currently watching:
scent of a women- very good but man just hope it ends well too. 9/10 so far.
princessman'-one of the better historical dramas. of course lots of deaths like usual, has a very romeo&juliet feel. 8.5/10 so far
myung the spy: i like it, but it was very confusing in the beginning and sometimes i hate the main guy so much. i even like the evil girl more better sometimes hahaha. 8/10

I started watching My Girlfriend is a Gomiho because of this thread. Definitely really really good. I've always heard that kdramas were really well done, and this proves it to me.
Not getting much sleep tonight. ^^
