You listed 7 kingdoms as being loyal to the Lannisters but you forgot that the Westerlands (Lannisters) are also a kingdom which would add up to 8. Technically it's the riverlands that isn't a kingdom in their own right since they were subjugated by the ironborn and part of the ironborn kingdom. The Seven Kingdoms is just a synonym for Westeros derived from how there were 7 Independant Kingdoms making up the realm of Westeros at the specific time of the Targaryen conquest, afterwards making Westeros the united Seven Kingdoms. When splitting it up the easiest way is to use the 9 Regions of Westeros who have different High Lords that stood directly under the king, with the exception of the Crownlands where the High Lord is the king. There have been a Kingdom of Rivers and Hills that ruled at least the northern parts of the Riverlands. The southern part most likely was a frequently contested territory between the neighbouring kingdoms. The last King of the Trident was killed 300-400 years before Aegons Landing and the land ruled by Stormkings before the Ironborn conquered it.

Theres also the fact that after Tyrion talks with Jaime about his wife, Tyrions perception of whores probably changed a lot. Afterall he associated one of the best times of his life with a whore, and in a couple phrases that construct was shattered, the one who introduced him to happines and joy was not a whore, etc... So not only hes pissed at Shae for betraying him, but he was pissed at her for being a whore, in a more general kind of term, no loyalty, no sense of honor, just a bitch living at his expenses and giving him unecessary trouble. I think Tyrion kills her because of how much hes overwhelmed by his disgust of betrayal, and she not only lied in public to achieve his demise, but was literaly in bed with the man responsible for destroying the relationship he had with the woman he loved. Id wager Tyrion became such a whoremonger after he associated his wife with whores, but that doesnt necessarily mean that when that association is broken, he gonna sustain the same affection for them, after all I imagine id be pretty fucking pissed if I discovered my first and true love was slandered into being a whore due to social convinience, id be pissed there were whores in the first place to allow such deception. When he sees her on his father's bed, I think that brings back all the suffering and humiliation he endured due to the whole situation, and he realizes shes nothing but a whore.

I just feel that the writers are gonna go in that durection with Tyrion, even if it's gonna suck for book readers (and possibly leave TV viewers confused about his actions) I thought so, too. But then Tyrion gave Shae the necklace, and in basically every episode since the topic of Tyrion's original wife came up at least once. So it does feel like they're going with the original plot after all, even if TVshow-Shae really doesn't fit that role at all. We'll see.

TV Shae isn't very seductive and comes across more like a high maintenance bitch most of the time. I never bought the idea that TV Tyrion would choose to settle down with TV Shae in the first place considering he was doing 3 somes with whores in episode 1, and there is nothing about TV Shae's personality to make her pleasant company. Book Shae was all lies in her affection, but at least they were sweet, seductive lies, rather than being a bitch most of the time we see her with Tyrion.

Then Shae tries to seduce him again with the very line she used to condemn him and ridicule him in court by calling him "my giant of Lannister". When TV Shae betrays it's not going to be very impactful because she was a really possessive and in-affectionate bitch. I'm looking forward to this Sunday's episode. Ready for the RW omgomgomg.

That depends on who is being sucker punched? The audience or Tyrion? Tyrion has to be the one experiencing that, and if the audience to some extent does feel the same way, why is that bad? I mean, what happened in the book? Granted, Shae was described more hedonist/whore-y, but Tyrion seemed to like her regardless. Then she testifies against Tyrion, which is the first sucker punch moment. But still, you may think that she was forced to do so. But the tipping point is when Tyrion sees her in bed with Tywin. I still think that there is the possibility that the TV show will do it similar.

One of them knows Robb is supposed to die at some point but not how or when, the other knows nothing. I am so looking forward to see their faces when it happens. I've got one non-reader myself, I've told him that this episode will feature the biggest event in GoT but apart from that he has no clue.

In terms of the show, I really don't think there is much if any evidence pointing to what's going to happen. It's gonna hit 'em like a ton of bricks!
